I’m here to share a few of my (free!) top picks for today’s NBA slate on PrizePicks. Most of these predictions are heavily based on our projections.
Be mindful of the fact that the news cycle in the NBA is fluid, so the picks below may become more or less appealing depending on player availability. But rest assured that our NBA DFS projections team is making updates as soon as news breaks.
We have 7 games on the schedule as the NBA is set to tip off on 1/14. Below, I’ll detail how I’m approaching things on PrizePicks this Tuesday evening.

If you want to play along but haven’t signed up yet, grab a special offer with our PrizePicks promo code “GRINDERS” to get $50 on a $5 entry! PrizePicks – one of the most popular DFS pick’em sites – provides player projections for NBA matchups each day. The ball is then in our court to decide whether a player will ultimately exceed or fall short of those projections in the games. With a huge roster of players available from which to choose, we just need to make a minimum of two picks to build an entry.
I’ll break down the board by looking at factors like usage rates, projected pace, lines in the sports betting market, and of course, our RotoGrinders projections to forecast how NBA players might fare in categories like points, rebounds, and assists. PrizePicks Top NBA Picks for 1/14
Now that you’re signed up, here are some of our top NBA picks on PrizePicks for 1/14 at a glance:
- Cason Wallace More/Less Than 14.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
- Dejounte Murray More/Less Than 16.5 Points
- Jarrett Allen More/Less Than 12.5 Points
Thunder vs. 76ers NBA PrizePicks Predictions
Here are the Thunder vs. 76ers NBA PrizePicks predictions for tonight:
Cason Wallace Less Than 14.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
Wallace has shown flashes of strong play recently, averaging close to 13 points, over 5 rebounds, and 2 assists in his last 6 games. However, his role in the Thunder’s rotation is inconsistent, and the team’s depth often limits his opportunities. With other key contributors on the roster, Wallace may struggle to consistently reach a combined total of 14.5 points, rebounds, and assists. This makes the less than 14.5 a solid choice, as his production could be capped by limited minutes (we have him projected for 27) or reduced involvement in the offense (only an 11.6% usage rating this season).
Our NBA projections show this with a 5.54% edge and a 63.27% win rate.
Pelicans vs. Bulls NBA PrizePicks Predictions
Here are the Pelicans vs. Bulls NBA PrizePicks predictions for tonight:
Dejounte Murray More Than 16.5 Points
He’s been on a roll, averaging 21.2 points over his last 5 games and surpassing this mark in 80% of those contests. Notable performances include 26 points against Boston and 29 against Minnesota. The Bulls defense has struggled against guards. Our Defense vs. Archetypes Tool has this as the 2nd-best matchup for guards, making this a favorable matchup for Murray. His recent form and the defensive vulnerabilities of his opponent suggest he’s in a great position to deliver another strong scoring performance.
Our NBA projections show this with a 3.22% edge and a 60.96% win rate.
Cavaliers vs. Pacers NBA PrizePicks Predictions
Here are the Cavaliers vs. Pacers NBA PrizePicks predictions for tonight:
Jarrett Allen More Than 12.5 Points
Over his last 5 games, Allen has averaged 16.8 points and surpassed this mark in 60% of those contests. And our Defense vs. Archetypes Tool has this as the 9th-best matchup for post players. His recent scoring trends and key role in the Cavaliers offense suggest he’s poised for another productive performance.
Our projections have Allen projected for 14.77 points and show this with a 3.04% edge and a 60.78% win rate.
