NBA PrizePicks Player Predictions for Wednesday (1/15)

Whitmore of the Rockets

I’m here to share a few of my (free!) top picks for today’s NBA slate on PrizePicks. Most of these predictions are heavily based on our projections.

Be mindful of the fact that the news cycle in the NBA is fluid, so the picks below may become more or less appealing depending on player availability. But rest assured that our NBA DFS projections team is making updates as soon as news breaks.

We have 11 games on the schedule as the NBA is set to tip off on 1/15. Below, I’ll detail how I’m approaching things on PrizePicks this Wednesday evening.

First… Sign Up to Make NBA PrizePicks Picks

If you want to play along but haven’t signed up yet, grab a special offer with our PrizePicks promo code “GRINDERS” to get $50 on a $5 entry! PrizePicks – one of the most popular DFS pick’em sites – provides player projections for NBA matchups each day. The ball is then in our court to decide whether a player will ultimately exceed or fall short of those projections in the games. With a huge roster of players available from which to choose, we just need to make a minimum of two picks to build an entry.

I’ll break down the board by looking at factors like usage rates, projected pace, lines in the sports betting market, and of course, our RotoGrinders projections to forecast how NBA players might fare in categories like points, rebounds, and assists. Rockets vs. Nuggets NBA PrizePicks Predictions

Here are the Rockets vs. Nuggets NBA PrizePicks predictions for tonight:

Cam Whitmore Less Than 4.5 Rebounds + Assists

He has averaged just 3.1 combined rebounds and assists this season, even with increased minutes in January. Whitmore has gone below this line in 6 of his last 8 games. The Denver Nuggets, his opponent, rank fifth in rebound percentage and allow the 2nd-fewest rebounds per game to small forwards, making it a tough matchup. With his role primarily focused on scoring and limited playmaking opportunities, Whitmore is unlikely to surpass this total against Denver’s solid defensive presence.

Our NBA projections show this with a 10.82% edge and a 68.55% win rate.

Nets vs. Clippers NBA PrizePicks Predictions

Here are the Nets vs. Clippers NBA PrizePicks predictions for tonight:

Ivica Zubac Less Than 15.5 Rebounds + Assists

Over his last 10 games, he has averaged 16.3 combined rebounds and assists but has only surpassed this mark in 5 of those games. Facing the Brooklyn Nets, whose assists vs. average rank poorly in our Defense vs. Archetypes Tool, Zubac may struggle to generate enough opportunities to exceed this total. Our stat-level projections have him for 13.85 Rebounds + Assists.

Our NBA projections show this with a 7.72% edge and a 65.46% win rate.

Kings vs. Bucks NBA PrizePicks Predictions

Here are the Kings vs. Bucks NBA PrizePicks predictions for tonight:

Taurean Prince Less Than 11.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

RotoGrinders projects him at 9.39 Points + Rebounds + Assists, which is significantly below the 11.5 projection, giving this pick a 5.57% edge and a 63.3% hit rate. With his role as a complementary player on the Bucks, his opportunities to exceed this line remain limited.
