NBA Tournament Plays: Friday, 11/28

What’s up Grinders!

There are some huge tournaments going on tonight around the industry – there’s the $250K Slam on FanDuel for a $25 entry along with the $200 Monster and $2 shot, both of which have $100K prizepools.

Over on DraftKings, we have the $200 Showtime and $27 Crossover, both with $100K prizepools, and a special Black Friday Discount with reduced rake tonight on the main GPPs! It’s a great time to be a player in today’s DFS landscape, and with so much money to be won tonight, let’s jump right into some GPP plays for tonight’s 11-game slate.

POINT GUARD

Ty Lawson

Ty Lawson – Ty is playing at an extremely high level right now, putting up over 40 FD points five times in his last nine games. He gets a rematch with the Suns tonight, in what is easily the highest O/U of the day at 218. On Wednesday, Lawson put up 45+ Fpts against the Suns, and he should be in line for another great game tonight at home.

Jeremy Lin – Lin has some issues with inconsistency, but has had three good performances in a row, and gets a great matchup at home vs. the Timberwolves tonight. This game has a 216 O/U and should be fast paced, which plays into Lin’s style. He is cheap around the industry and allows you to spend up elsewhere.

Other PGs to consider: Russell Westbrook, Chris Paul, Stephen Curry, Jeff Teague, Isiah Thomas (If he plays), DJ Augustin, Brian Roberts

SHOOTING GUARD

James Harden – If there is one superstar I’m paying for tonight, it’s going to be Harden. With Howard likely out again, Harden is going to have another game with an extremely high usage rate tonight at home vs. the Clippers. He has hit 55+ Fpts in his past two games with Howard out, and should be able to approach or surpass that again tonight if he gets it going. The Rockets simply have to depend on Harden doing everything to win right now.

Eric Bledsoe – Bledsoe shined on Wednesday in an up-tempo game vs. the Nuggets, and should be in a prime spot again tonight in a rematch. Even if Isiah Thomas plays tonight, it won’t scare me from using Bledsoe tonight at his reasonable price around the industry.

Other SGs to consider: Kobe Bryant, Monta Ellis, JR Smith, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Rodney Stuckey

SMALL FORWARD

Josh Smith

Josh Smith – Smith has performed great in the two games Brandon Jennings has been out, and gets that same opportunity tonight, as Jennings has been ruled out again. Smith is playing a great all-around game right now, and is always one of my top tournament plays, as he can put up huge games at times. His floor seems very safe tonight with Jennings out, and should be able to approach 40+ Fpts tonight at a reasonable price.

Wilson Chandler – Maybe you are starting to pick up on a trend here, but taking players in the highest O/U game of the night what should remain close throughout, seems like a good idea. Chandler has been seeing plenty of run for Denver, and just scored 29.8 FD points on Wednesday against the Suns. This game should be very fast paced, which suits Chandler’s game well, and (at his reasonable price) he could easily top 30 Fpts tonight for you.

Other SFs to consider: Tobias Harris, Kawhi Leonard, Andrew Wiggins, Gerald Green, Omar Casspi (If Rudy Gay is out), Gerald Henderson, Corey Brewer

POWER FORWARD

Markieff Morris – Hey guys look, another player from the Suns/Nuggets game! Chief Kieff looks primed for another huge night vs the Nuggets, as he just dominated them Wednesday for 48.5 FD points. The Nuggets are very weak on defense on the interior, which has me loving Morris again tonight as a moderately priced PF option tonight. I have no issue putting 3-5 players from this game in your lineup tonight – there is plenty of production to go around.

Donatas Motiejunas – This guy burned me a few times to start the season, but it’s time to start giving him a second chance. He has put up three good games in a row with Howard out, capping it off with a 37+ Fpt night on Wednesday vs. the Kings. Howard is out again tonight, so fire up Donatas with confidence, as he will see plenty of minutes and opportunity vs. the Clippers.

Other PFs to consider: Anthony Davis, Tim Duncan, Dirk Nowitzki, Cody Zeller

CENTER

Andre Drummond

Andre Drummond – Drummond is finally starting to score, which has boosted his fantasy production to where many expected it over the past few games. The rebounds will always be there for Drummond, but since he has started scoring, he hasn’t put up less than 34 Fpts in his past three games. He gets a very favorable matchup vs. the soft interior defense of the Bucks tonight, who he just hung 23 and 10 on two games ago.

Timofey MozgovSURPRISE! Another player from the Suns/Nuggets game! Mozgov is going to be heavily owned tonight, but he should be, as he just put up 40+ Fpts against the Suns on Wednesday. Tonight he plays at home and once again should have a chance at a great night vs. the Suns’ weak interior defense. His minutes are there, as he seems to have won a legitimate starting role for the Nuggets, something that was not there to start the season.

Other Centers to consider: Nikola Vucevic, Jordan Hill, Tyson Chandler, Gorgui Dieng (If Pekovic is out), Ian Mahinmi
