NBA Underdog Fantasy Player Predictions for Wednesday (1/22)

Wilson of the Nets

I’m here to give you a (free!) peek behind the curtain regarding some of the awesome things our NBA DFS projections team is cooking up by giving you my top picks for today’s NBA slate on Underdog Fantasy.

Every single pick you will find below is going to be based on what our projections say is a meaningful edge.

Please keep in mind that the NBA news cycle can get crazy, so what is listed below may become a better/worse play depending on how that news breaks. You can always stay up to date on exactly what a team’s rotation and depth chart will look like on a given day by heading to our NBA starting lineups page.

We have 8 games on the schedule as the NBA is set to tip off on 1/22. Below, I’ll detail how I’m approaching things on Underdog this Wednesday evening.

If you want to play along but haven’t signed up yet, grab a special offer with our Underdog promo “GRINDERS” to unlock up to $1000 Bonus Cash courtesy of a generous deposit match. Underdog Fantasy – one of the most popular DFS pick’em sites – provides player projections for NBA matchups each day. The ball is then in our court to decide whether a player will ultimately exceed or fall short of those projections in the games. With a huge roster of players available from which to choose, we just need to make a minimum of two picks to build an entry.

I’ll break down the board by looking at factors like usage rates, projected pace, lines in the sports betting market, and of course, our RotoGrinders projections to forecast how NBA players might fare in categories like points, rebounds, and assists. Underdog Fantasy Top NBA Picks for 1/22

Now that you’re signed up, here are some of our top NBA picks on Underdog for 1/22 at a glance:

Suns vs. Nets NBA Underdog Fantasy Predictions

Here are the Suns vs. Nets NBA Underdog Fantasy predictions for tonight:

Jalen Wilson Lower Than 17.5 Points + Rebounds

RotoGrinders projects him at 15.17 Points + Rebounds, which is significantly lower than the projection. Our simulations show this pick has a 4.57% edge and a 62.31% hit rate, indicating a high probability of success. Over his last 10 games, Wilson has averaged just 12.1 Points + Rebounds, and he has only exceeded 17.5 in three of those contests.

This is also a very negative matchup when you look at our Defense vs. Archetypes Tool.

Keon Johnson Lower Than 19.5 Points + Rebounds

RotoGrinders projects him at 16.63 Points + Rebounds, which is significantly lower than the projection. Our simulations show this pick has a 6.07% edge and a 63.8% hit rate, showing a solid edge. Johnson has been inconsistent offensively, this is checking in as the 3rd-toughest matchup in our Defense vs. Archetypes Tool.

Warriors vs. Kings NBA Underdog Fantasy Predictions

Here are the Warriors vs. Kings NBA Underdog Fantasy predictions for tonight:

Keegan Murray Lower Than 13.5 Points + Assists

RotoGrinders projects him at 11.42 Points + Assists, which is significantly lower than the projection. Our simulations show this pick has a 3.48% edge and a 61.21% hit rate, indicating a +EV spot to target. Murray has averaged 11.9 points and 1.4 assists over 39 games this season, totaling 13.3 Points + Assists on average. With the Kings’ offense heavily reliant on Domantas Sabonis and De’Aaron Fox, Murray’s opportunities to exceed this are limited, making this a compelling choice.

It’s also one of the toughest matchups on the board when you look at our Defense vs. Archetypes Tool.
