Tom Brady
The first thing I noticed this week is that the players on bye or not in the main slate of games is going to cause a big shift in roster construction. With Lev Bell, Antonio Brown, Ezekiel Elliott, Julio Jones, AJ Green and others not in the main slate of games, cap is going to be allocated in a different way than normal. I have only truly recommended spending up on the quarterback position a few times this season and the time I was most adamant about it was with Tom Brady in week two against the Saints where he turned in 447 passing yards with 3 passing touchdowns. I don’t think that his ceiling in this game against the Raiders is quite as high, as the Oakland offense will not be able to push the Patriots the same way the Saints did, but the matchup is better and the overall strength of the QB position is quite weak this week.
