NFL DFS DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey: Monday Night Football Picks
DraftKings
Who are your three favorite Captains, ranked in order?
Notorious: Kenneth Walker III, Jaylen Waddle, Bo Nix
headChopper: Patrick Mahomes, Kenneth Walker III, Jaylen Waddle
ncorfield8k: Rashee Rice, Patrick Mahomes, Jaylen Waddle
Davis Mattek: Kenneth Walker III, Jaylen Waddle, Patrick Mahomes
How do you plan to beat the field of opponents in the tournaments you will be playing? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Notorious: Patrick Mahomes was surprisingly effective in fantasy last season thanks to his rushing upside (422 yards and 5 touchdowns). However, he tore his ACL and LCL last season. I’m worried about his fantasy prospects for this season, as the Chiefs have said that he’s not going to scramble much. I want no part of Mahomes in the multiplier spots tonight. I think the Chiefs lean heavily on Kenneth Walker III, so I’ll be using him a bunch at MVP/CPT. On Denver’s side, I much prefer Jaylen Waddle over Courtland Sutton. I also think the game sets up well for both of the kickers, as both offenses are good, both defenses are good, and the game has a low total.
headChopper: Ultimately, I think this game comes down to the known players doing their known things but needing that one lower-level WR who outperforms his projection because he gets in the end zone or turns one of his few targets into a 40-yard bomb…and that guy ends up in the optimal. So I am playing this semi-chalky and think most of the players will fall in line with projections, but I’m taking chances on the Pat Bryants and Xavier Worthys of the slate to see if I can find that guy.
ncorfield8k: I’m expecting the new guys to make an immediate impact. Kenneth Walker III and Jaylen Waddle will both be priorities. There are some fun ways to get different at CPT/MVP. I probably won’t play the quarterbacks a ton and will instead lean into the skill position players at lower pOWN%. I’ll make the bet that Pat Bryant has a big role immediately despite not being listed as a starter on the depth chart.
Davis Mattek: I think there are a few levers to pull here. The first is playing for an actual Chiefs strong win (e.g. Chiefs D/ST, Kenneth Walker III, Harrison Butker, receivers not named Rashee Rice). The second is to play RJ Harvey and Jonah Coleman in the Broncos backfield ahead of J.K. Dobbins. Dobbins is fine on FanDuel, but even if he has 90 rushing yards, I could see him getting outscored on full-PPR DraftKings.
