DraftKings
Who are your three favorite Captains, ranked in order?
Notorious: Matthew Golden, Jordan Love, CeeDee Lamb
ncorfield8k: Javonte Williams, Matthew Golden, Christian Watson
Davis Mattek: Matthew Golden, Javonte Williams, Christian Watson
Bobby Gomes: Christian Watson, Matthew Golden, CeeDee Lamb
How do you plan to beat the field of opponents in the tournaments you will be playing? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Notorious: I want to be overweight on the main pass catchers for the Packers (Matthew Golden, Christian Watson, and Tucker Kraft), and I don’t mind using them at CPT/MVP. The Packers are dead last in rushing yards per game this season, and their defense has been nothing like it was in past seasons. This has led to a pass-heavy approach, which I expect to continue against the Cowboys. I expect one of those players to top 100 yards and score a touchdown. In small-field tournaments, I doubt they will garner much ownership at the multiplier positions.
ncorfield8k: I’ll be playing a lot of the Packers passing game and Cowboys running game. The Packers’ interior defense is beat up, so an already great matchup gets even better for Javonte Williams. And while the Cowboys should have Joey Porter Jr. for this game, it’ll still be an elite matchup for the Packers’ passing game. Matthew Golden and Christian Watson are obvious great plays, but Bo Melton and Savion Williams are both interesting darts too. Melton saw a big leap in routes last week after Skyy Moore’s injury. Savion Williams is also going to make his season debut and could have an opportunity. And, of course, Tucker Kraft is always in play.
Davis Mattek: I will have zero Jake Ferguson. I will play the Packers like they will continue to be top 5 in the NFL in pass rate over expectation. I will also play more of the Packers RBs than the field. With the Cowboys defense being dead last in EPA per play, I think we will see some 5-1 Packers onslaughts sim pretty well.
Bobby Gomes: Dallas has the worst pass defense in football by EPA per dropback, gives up the second-most explosive passes, and hasn’t picked off a single pass all year. I’m building around Packers receivers at CPT/MVP with Jordan Love underneath. Games like this (high total and close spread) almost always get won by a receiver at CPT/MVP, not a running back. Everyone is going to click Javonte Williams at the multiplier spot, and I’ll be light there. I’ll also have more kickers than the field since a lot of drives in this game should end in field-goal range.

About the Author
Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
