What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat the field? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

headChopper: I prefer running 1 lineup in smaller-field GPPs that have limited entries. I’m going right back to the Arizona passing game, as this matchup sets up well for them again. I also won’t be afraid to take Dallas passing-game pieces against a tough Eagles defense. I’m hoping the matchup scares people off of them. I’ll be overweight on that game in general because I don’t really care that the Eagles’ offense has struggled recently. This Dallas defense could still be really bad, and I’m not judging them off of one game against the Raiders. DeVonta Smith would be my favorite Eagles pass catcher.

Stevietpfl: This weekend, I prefer small-field contests, and I’ll build 3 to 5 lineups. I want to build around the Jacksonville and Arizona game. I feel like I can use DAL/PHI as secondary stacks with the cheap quarterback options for JAC/ARI. Overall, I just like how my lineups look with my main stacks being from the JAC/ARI game. I’m going to be overweight on the Saints defense and underweight on that entire game otherwise.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll just be playing 1 lineup, but even if I were MMEing, I’d definitely be hitting the lock button on Trey McBride regardless of how many lineups I made. I’ll likely stack him alongside Jacoby Brissett and Michael Wilson. I also want to get a mini-stack of the ATL/NO game, as I love the combo of Bijan Robinson and Chris Olave.

Who’s your favorite contrarian play and why?

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
