What is your favorite game-script build and why?
Notorious: My favorite game script is the Rams having a ton of success on offense and having the production be fairly balanced. I’d like to be overweight on all of their playmakers, particularly Cooper Kupp and Kyren Williams. On the Dolphins side, I am hoping we see very concentrated production. Tua Tagovailoa doesn’t have rushing upside and hasn’t shown much upside in general this season. I’d like to get all of my Miami exposure through DeVon Achane, Tyreek Hill (or Jaylen Waddle if Hill is out), and Jonnu Smith.
headChopper: The preferred game script would involve the Rams taking an early lead and pushing the Dolphins to a more pass-heavy approach as they play catch-up. This setup maximizes fantasy potential for key players like Tyreek Hill and Tua Tagovailoa in high-reward passing situations, while Kyren Williams and Matthew Stafford benefit from maintaining offensive control. Lots of points and touchdowns. Down game for the defenses and kickers.
ncorfield8k: I think it will be somewhat contrarian to build for a low-scoring game, and I think a low-scoring game is fairly likely. As a result, I’ll lean into players who can put up big scores without scoring touchdowns and come in underweight to the field on the quarterbacks, especially on DraftKings. I particularly like the running backs and tight ends but will of course mix in plenty of the high-end receivers.
Davis Mattek: The interesting thing about both of these teams is that fantasy players think of them as explosive passing teams, but both of the head coaches think of themselves as running teams. Both Mike McDaniel and Sean McVay are going to come into this game with rush-heavy approaches, and I think we will see the field play a little bit less of Kyren Williams and DeVon Achane than they should. This is a must-win game for the Dolphins’ playoff hopes, and I expect them to play a low-variance style.
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
