We are to the point in the season where the NFL is taking over 4 of the 7 days in the week. We have the usual Thursday, Sunday, and Monday slates, and this week, we have a 2-game Saturday slate. I’ll recap my Week 15 results and cover the Week 16 retired athlete in my main slate breakdown. Since this is an extra slate and an extra article, we’ll keep the introduction short and sweet. Let’s dive into the position-by-position breakdown for Saturday.

NFL DFS Top Picks & Plays: Noto’s Key Personnel for Week 16 (Saturday 2-Game Slate)

We have an interesting slate on tap on Saturday. We usually don’t have much value to work with on a 2-game slate, but we have a decent amount on Saturday thanks to some injuries. We also have a few injuries that we are still waiting on, so even more value could potentially open up. As always, I’ll keep my Expert Play tags updated in our NFL DFS optimizer, LineupHQ.

Top Quarterback Plays

Tier 1 – Core Plays

The Eagles haven’t looked dominant at times this season, but they can wrap up the NFC East with a win over the Commanders on Saturday. Jalen Hurts ($6,900 DK / $8,800 FD) hasn’t put up gaudy numbers through the air, but he has quietly averaged 20 fantasy points per game. He’s the easy click on this 2-game slate, as the Commanders are dead last in EPA allowed per dropback and 28th in fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks. It helps that this game is on the road, as the spread is set at only 6.5 points.

Jordan Love ($5,700 DK / $7,900 FD) tends to play his best from late November all the way through December. His efficiency metrics are incredible during that stretch. This is an important game for the Packers, and they draw a favorable matchup against the Bears, who have allowed the 9th-most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. The problem with Love is that he spreads the ball around and is hard to stack with, but I’m not sure we need to force stacks into our builds on this slate.

Tier 2 – Strong Plays

I know Marcus Mariota has some rushing upside, but he’s not on my radar on this slate. If fading Hurts and Love, I would rather target Caleb Williams ($5,500 DK / $7,700 FD). I worry about the Packers’ ability to generate pressure, but Green Bay is 24th in EPA allowed per dropback this season. Their pass defense isn’t quite as elite as most assume. Williams is playing at home, he offers a solid rushing floor, and he has thrown for multiple touchdowns in 3 of the last 4 games.
