Noto's NFL DFS Key Personnel: Week 5
A daily fantasy sports OG, Notorious has been roaming the DFS streets ever since they were invented. So, who better to walk you through all of the key NFL DFS positions each week? Noto has racked up multiple live final seats and several six-figure tournament wins in his DFS career, and he will mix it up in all different types of contests. In his Key Personnel article, he will walk you through his favorite NFL DFS picks, ways to pivot away from the chalk, and overall strategy for the upcoming slate.
For the second straight week, I only needed a little more from Arizona’s passing attack to have a nice week in DFS. For the second straight week, Kyler Murray did next to nothing after leading the Cardinals to a touchdown on the opening drive. This DFS game can be tilting at times, but I sure do love it. We must embrace the good and bad breaks and realize that they all even out over the course of the season.
For those wondering, I was able to complete the half marathon and finished 8 minutes faster than my goal. My knee and hip did all they could to stop me, and I couldn’t walk normally for a few days, but we did the damn thing. Over the last three weeks, I’ve had a quick trip to Vegas, a quick trip to Disneyland, and a half marathon. It’s so good to be home and back to my usual routine. I’m prepped and ready for a big Week 5.

NFL DFS Top Picks & Plays: Noto’s Key Personnel for Week 5
This week feels wide open. There aren’t any must-play options, there are quite a few intriguing game stacks, and injuries have opened up even more players than usual. I expect ownership to be spread out at every position, which is my favorite type of slate. As always, I will be spending my Sunday mornings in LineupHQ. I’m biased, but it is by far my favorite NFL optimizer.
Let’s dive into my top plays at each position.

Deshaun Watson: $5,300 DK / $6,900 FD
Noto, you have one quarterback tagged in Week 5 and it’s… Deshaun Watson? Do I feel good about targeting a quarterback that hasn’t been fantasy-relevant for a few years? Surprisingly, I do. He certainly hasn’t been great in the first four games of the season, but he has averaged 29 rushing yards and 14.9 fantasy points per game. He had a long touchdown called back last week against the Raiders, and his wideouts have the highest drop rate (9.6%) in the NFL. There are plenty of reasons to expect some positive regression moving forward. More importantly, he’s facing the Commanders, who have the 2nd-worst pressure rate and are a bottom-4 defense in EPA against the pass and fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks.
