Noto's Key Personnel: Wild Card Weekend - Saturday Slate
A daily fantasy sports OG, Notorious has been roaming the DFS streets ever since they were invented. So, who better to walk you through all of the key NFL DFS positions each week? Noto has racked up multiple live final seats and several six-figure tournament wins in his DFS career, and he will mix it up in all different types of contests. In his Key Personnel article, he will walk you through his favorite NFL DFS picks, ways to pivot away from the chalk, and overall strategy for the upcoming slate.
Ladies and gentlemen, we have officially made it to the playoffs. While I plan to play all of the slates this weekend, the ones with the biggest prize pools are the 2-game Saturday slate and the 3-game Sunday slate. In this article, I will break down the Saturday slate that features the Browns-Texans and Dolphins-Chiefs. I will have another Key Personnel article for the Sunday slate that features the Steelers-Bills, Packers-Cowboys, and Rams-Lions.
The smaller the slate, the more we need to think about game theory and roster construction. Based on the fact that the late game (MIA-KC) is expected to be played in frigid temperatures, I’m expecting most of the ownership to flock to the early game (CLE-HOU). While that’s usually a negative, we saw a similar slate last Saturday. There was a bad weather game, and the winning lineups were those that stacked the game indoors. I plan to be overweight on the game in Houston while picking spots to be contrarian.
As always, thanks for joining me. Let’s dive into the positional breakdown.

Quarterback
EXPERT PLAY TAG
Joe Flacco: $6,100 DK / $7,800 FD
Even if you aren’t a fan of Flacco or the Browns, this story has to give you the warm and fuzzies. Flacco was sitting on his couch halfway through the season and is now a road favorite in the NFL playoffs. The Browns offensive line has dealt with so many injuries that they have decided to air it out as much as possible. In Flacco’s 5 starts, he threw for more than 300 yards in 4 games, he attempted more than 40 passes in 4 games, and he threw for multiple touchdowns in every game. One of those games came against the Texans, who have been one of the best pass-funnel matchups in the league (23rd in DVOA against the pass, 2nd in DVOA against the run). Regardless of the game script, we can expect Flacco to drop back a ton of time. He has obvious stacking mates and has plenty of playoff experience. In fact, only Tom Brady has more road wins in the playoffs than Flacco. I have him in a tier of his own on this 2-game slate.
