NFL DFS Usage Trends: Week 17 Motivations

IIn this space, we look at usage patterns that stick out to me, team-by-team, to help us for the following week. This isn’t the comprehensive look at every target tree we performed earlier in the season. Now, we’re looking at actionable items for the upcoming slate. Trends to ride and outliers to ignore (with teams to ignore).

For brevity (if you can call it that), we zero in on the ball more than the snaps and routes. In the Grind Down and on our shows, we get deeper into those. If you want to see all of this data, you can find it in position-by-position in LineupHQ, game-by-game in GridironIQ, and JoshADHD’s excellent usage app. It’s very early in the week, so tread lightly with projections of any sort right now—whether it be points, market share, or ownership.

Was your “”(player-popup #desean-jackson)DeSean Jackson”:/players/desean-jackson-12207 (ankle) isn’t any damn good” quote made with little or no thought? If neither, please justify your comment.

Probably should read “isn’t any damn good for us” in that he’s useless to us to clear up any room for misunderstanding. He’s a fine football player, but Philly’s either been a wasteland or a game of whack-a-mole from week to week.

Thanks! I don’t write NBA. My journalism roots are NBA, but I like to take NBA DFS off the last couple of years. It’s just too much work and it’s a sport in which you can’t be half-pregnant. I might play smaller NBA slates here and there, but after NFL is over, I’m taking a break from content until MLB starts up.
