Game Script Breakdown

NOTE: This section is based on the expected game script only. It does not factor in anything such as salaries, defense vs. position, or a team’s run/pass balance. It is meant to give you a quick idea of which positions should benefit if the game script goes as expected. Game script is important for all positions, especially running backs. Winning teams not only rush more often, but they also rush for more yards and score more rushing touchdowns on average.

Defense vs. Position Breakdown (Through Week 1)

There has been some confusion with the DvP rankings, so let me clarify. The DvP rankings are for the opponent, not for the team listed in the first column. For example, let’s look at the Philadelphia Eages, who are the top team listed below. They are facing the Cowboys and if you look at the DvP rankings to the right, you will see that the Cowboys are ranked third against QBs, 17th against RBs, 6th against WRs, and 14th against TEs. The lower the ranking, the better they are at defending the position. Hopefully that will help clear any confusion.
