NFL Lineup Walkthrough - Week 13

Notorious gives a detailed walkthrough of how he built his main cash-game lineup on DraftKings for NFL Week 13. He’ll offer his entire lineup and explain the thought process behind each pick.

Week 13 NFL DraftKings Lineup

Matt Ryan – Ryan is a good quarterback. He’s an above average talent with a below average offensive line. The reasoning behind this pick is fairly simple. The Cardinals are graded as having the 3rd worst pass rush in the NFL (PFF). Ryan is also playing at home where he has had a QBR over 100 in each of the last two seasons. For him to reach value on a 3x salary metric, he would only need 17.7 fantasy points.

C.J. Anderson – Anderson was a huge help to my lineup last week. Against a very tough Dolphins defense, he piled up 195 yards from scrimmage. He also added a TD to boot. He draws another tough matchup this week, but he’s still the main back in Denver with both Ronnie Hillman and Montee Ball out.

Tre Mason

Tre Mason – Mason has that rare combination of being under-priced and having a great matchup. He is facing a Raiders defense that is graded as the 7th worst run defense in the NFL. He is also facing them in a game where the Rams are favorites. He’s a candidate for 20+ touches in a favorable matchup.

Odell Beckham Jr. – This is typically a play that I would fade, as ODB’s ownership levels will be through the roof after that huge game against the Cowboys on Sunday night. But salaries came out before that game, which means his huge fantasy outing was not factored in. At $6,800, he’s a tough fade for cash games.

Kenny Stills – Last week was the first week without Brandin Cooks in the lineup. If it was any indication of what will happen moving forward, Stills is going to pick up most of that lost production. He caught 8-of-9 targets for 98 yards in a loss to the Ravens. He should see another healthy dose of targets thrown his way against the Steelers in what should be a shootout.

Mike Wallace – Wallace and Tannehill have not been on the same page all season long. Wallace has yet to top 81 yards this season. While that’s not exactly promising, a depressed price and a terrific matchup put him in play this week. The Jets are terrific against the run and can’t cover anyone against the pass. I’m more than fine with a 6-catch, 61-yard, and a TD type of outing from Wallace this week.

Jimmy Graham – Graham or Gronk? Gronk or Graham? I liked Gronk a little more than Graham this week, but he was $700 more expensive on DraftKings, so I decided to put Graham on my main DK lineup and Gronk on my main FD lineup. Graham has a nice matchup against the Steelers, who are ranked 24th in fantasy points allowed to opposing TEs.

Andre Ellington – Ellington was the last player to make the lineup this week. He wasn’t a “plug” by any means, but he’s the player that I have the least confidence in heading into the week. He’s nursing a couple of injuries which always makes me a little hesitant. The good news is that he has been a true workhorse back and he draws a great matchup against the Falcons, who are ranked dead last in fantasy points allowed to opposing RBs.

Texans D/ST – I love the Texans defense. They get sacks and they force turnovers. They have scored at least 7 fantasy points in 7 of the last 8 weeks. They should be licking their chops for a home matchup against the rookie Zach Mettenberger.
