NFL Lineup Walkthrough - Week 9
Notorious gives a detailed walkthrough of how he built his main cash-game lineup on DraftKings for NFL Week 9. He’ll offer his entire lineup and explain the thought process behind each pick.
Week 9 NFL DraftKings Lineup

Remember last week when I had the feeling that nothing could stop my lineup from cruising the to the top of the leaderboards? Yeah, well that didn’t quite pan out as I had hoped. Don’t fear though, Week 9 is here to save the day. The biggest lineup decisions this week were around the weather issues in New England. Strong winds and possible rain really made it tough to predict. The total on the game had moved down 5 points from it’s opening total of 55. The potential bad weather led to a few player swaps. Only time will tell if that was the right call or not.
Andrew Luck – I had Brady as my cash-game QB for most of the week. Even though Tom Brady is one of the best poor-weather QB’s in NFL history, the wind was a concern here. I chose to pay up for Luck instead. No weather concerns and he has shown that he has a floor of around 23 fantasy points.
Ronnie Hillman – I was high on Hillman regardless of the weather in New England. He should see 20+ touches against a bad defense. He’s also a weapon catching the ball out of the backfield. The potential wind/rain should only increase his usage.
LeSean McCoy – McCoy may be my favorite play of the week. He has his elusiveness back, the Texans defense is littered with injuries, and his offensive line is as healthy as they have been all season. I’m expecting nothing less than 100+ yards from a scrimmage and a score.
Julian Edelman – After Edelman nearly put up a zero for me last week, it was hard going back to the well with him in Week 9. But Brandon LaFell has a tough matchup while Edelman will be lined up with a rookie for most of the game. Plus I expect the Pats to utilize more short passing routes in the expected conditions. The PPR-monster will be back in my good graces this week.

Andre Johnson – Johnson and Hopkins are both great outside receivers matched up against two bad outside corners. I was high on both heading into the week, but decided to go with Johnson as he continues to out-target Hopkins each week.
Mike Wallace – Wallace was an easy play for me. He’s a top-10 fantasy WR and you don’t have to pay the price for him. He continues to see a lot of targets and it’s only a matter of time before he and Tannehill get their vertical passing game going.
Larry Donnell – I’m high on the Giants passing attack this week against the Colts, but once it was announced that Vontae Davis would be healthy enough to play, I decided that Donnell was the best play of the receiving core. He should find some holes down the seem of this defense.
Marshawn Lynch – This is what may make or break my lineup. I chose to fade the popular value play Jeremy Hill for the unhappy and unproductive Lynch. Most stats show that he’s the same runner as he was last season, but that he’s just getting less touches. I’m hoping they feed him the ball against a weak Raiders defense.
Seahawks D/ST – The ‘Legion of Boom’ looked great last week against the Panthers and get a cupcake matchup against the Raiders at home.
