Best NFL Player Props for Broncos vs. Chiefs

Here are my top player prop bets, with kickoff scheduled for 8:15 PM ET on Monday, September 14th:

Kenneth Walker III UNDER 3.5 Receptions (-155, DraftKings)

Walker had 4+ receptions in only 2 games last season. Though he may be slightly more involved as a pass-catcher in Kansas City than he was during his time in Seattle, this is still a high number for a player who was brought to town to help cure the ground game.

It’s also important to note that the Chiefs have a pair of capable running backs behind Walker, Emmett Johnson and Brashard Smith, both of whom are capable in pass protection and could spell Walker on some 3rd downs, especially early in the season.

We could see the Chiefs deploy a more run-heavy game plan tonight too, given that it’s the first game for Patrick Mahomes since he tore his ACL in Week 15 last season. That could also limit Walker’s opportunities through the air.

Rashee Rice OVER 51.5 Receiving Yards (-113, FanDuel)

Rice is going to be Kansas City’s leading wideout in 2026, which makes this an extremely low number for Week 1. Xavier Worthy dealt with a shoulder sprain in August, and Tyquan Thornton is more of a deep threat. Jalen Royals stood out in camp, but he plays a similar role to Rice and is behind Rice on the depth chart.

If Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs have any success throwing the ball on Monday, Rice is likely to be a large part of that effort.

Patrick Mahomes UNDER 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (-138, DraftKings)

Add this pick with 1 click!PLACE THIS BET ONDRAFTKINGS

Quarterbacks who don’t play in the preseason have underperformed market expectations in Week 1 in recent years. In 2024, 9 of 10 such quarterbacks went under 1.5 passing touchdowns in his team’s season opener. In 2025, 6 of 10 such quarterbacks failed to throw multiple touchdowns.

Mahomes was 1 of 12 quarterbacks to skip the entire preseason this year. He has the added challenge of this being his first live game action since tearing his ACL in Week 15 last year. Oh, and the Broncos boast one of the league’s best pass defenses.

This is good value on the under.
