NFL Player Props for Cowboys vs. Raiders MNF (11/17)

What kind of performances can we expect on Monday Night Football from Jack Bech, Brock Bowers, and Dont’e Thornton? Follow along as our NFL betting analyst, Nick Galaida, breaks down three of his favorite NFL prop bets for Cowboys vs. Raiders on November 17th. What are the odds that we finally get a thrilling prime-time product from the NFL this evening? Since the beginning of Week 8, fans have watched 7 of the league’s 12 prime-time games finish with a double-digit margin of victory, including 4 games decided by at least 21 points. Following last night’s game between the Lions and Eagles, 3 of the last 5 prime-time games have failed to combine for more than 25 points!
The good news is that we shouldn’t see much defense on display to close out Week 13, with the Cowboys visiting the Raiders for Monday Night Football. Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. ET on ESPN and ABC.
Despite neither of these teams being Super Bowl contenders, there is potential for a fun football game this evening. Looking at the NFL Odds for this contest, the total is set at over/under 49.5 points. Hopefully Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, Brock Bowers, and the rest of the talented players on these teams can give fans a good showing!

Best NFL Player Props for Cowboys vs. Raiders
Here are my top player prop bets, with kickoff scheduled for 8:15 PM ET on Monday, November 17th:
- Jack Bech Over/Under 3.5 Receiving Yards
- Brock Bowers Over/Under 6.5 Receptions
- Dont’e Thornton Over/Under 0.5 Touchdowns
Jack Bech OVER 3.5 Receiving Yards (-110, bet365)
The Raiders used a 2nd-round draft pick on Bech this past summer, which made it more than a little bit surprising that he played only 14 snaps in Week 10 after the team traded away Jakobi Meyers.
Part of that may have been related to the matchup. Part of Bech’s lack of playing time likely also had to do with a holding penalty early in the game, which nullified a 31-yard run from Ashton Jeanty.
If Bech has a clean slate in the minds of the coaches tonight, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him more involved in the offense.
Brock Bowers OVER 6.5 Receptions (-134, FanDuel)
HC Pete Carroll and OC Chip Kelly caught a lot of media scrutiny following the team’s Week 10 game against the Broncos for not getting Bowers adequately involved in the offense. Bowers finished the night with only 1 reception for 31 receiving yards on 3 targets.
Earlier this week, Kelly told the media that the offense was “sacked on a lot of the plays that were supposed to go to [Bowers].” This suggests that Bowers was a focal point of the game plan, but that the team simply couldn’t get him the ball.
Returning from injury in Week 9 against the Jaguars, Bowers had 12 receptions on 13 targets. The Cowboys rank 25th in DVOA against opposing tight ends so far this season. This could be a good bounce-back spot for Bowers.
Dont’e Thornton Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+650, FanDuel)
Thornton is 6’5” and 205 pounds. The Raiders spent a 4th-round pick on him this past summer.
Considering that Las Vegas is almost assuredly going to miss the playoffs this fall, it would make all the sense in the world for them to see what they have in their rookie wideout. Encouragingly, Thornton played 37 snaps in Week 10, including some snaps near the goal line when the Raiders had a chance to score.
Thornton is a matchup nightmare in the red zone and also has the ability to stretch the field for a big gain. Facing a beatable Dallas secondary unit, this is good value if looking for a long shot on Monday Night Football.
