Monday Night Football in Week 15 has turned into a quasi-playoff game, with the Dolphins needing a win against the Steelers to keep their postseason hopes alive. The Steelers need a win to maintain sole possession of 1st place in the AFC North. Kickoff is set for 8:15 PM ET on ESPN.

One big topic of conversation ahead of tonight’s game is how Miami will fare in the cold weather – a known sore spot for their organization during the past decade. The NFL weather forecast for tonight has the temperature around 20 degrees, with the windchill even colder than that.

Looking at the NFL odds, the market is expecting a competitive game, with the Steelers favored by 3 points. The total is set at 42.5 points.

Best NFL Player Props for Dolphins vs. Steelers

Here are my top player prop bets, with kickoff scheduled for 8:15 PM ET on Monday, December 15th:

Tua Tagovailoa OVER 29.5 Pass Attempts (-105, BetMGM)

This isn’t a number that Tagovailoa has routinely cleared this season, but he could be forced to throw the ball a little bit more than he would like to as a warm-weather team playing in the cold.

Miami has committed to their ground attack more than any other team in the NFL during the last month, but so much of that has been predicated on favorable game scripts. Miami is a 3-point underdog against Pittsburgh, with the temperature forecast to be around 20 degrees at kickoff.

The Dolphins are 1-3 SU in games when the temperature has been 23 degrees or colder since 2008, per Joe Schad. If they are playing from behind tonight, they’ll be forced into more obvious passing situations.

Jaylen Wright OVER 17.5 Rushing Yards (-117, DraftKings)

It’s typically unwise to bet on the over for a backup running back who played an abnormally high number of snaps in his most recent game. That being said, Wright was extremely impressive in Week 14.

De’Von Achane is the clear-cut RB1 in this Miami backfield, but head coach Mike McDaniel had significant praise for Wright following last weekend’s game, saying that Wright has “been on a heater in practice.”

It wouldn’t be surprising to see Wright retain some level of expanded role tonight, especially in a matchup that should be exploitable on the ground.

Greg Dulcich UNDER 18.5 Receiving Yards (-109, DraftKings)

Add this pick with 1 click!PLACE THIS BET ONDRAFTKINGS

Dulcich has played double-digit passing snaps each of the last 2 games, but his role has diminished quite considerably from where it was in Weeks 9-11. Also, Miami hasn’t been particularly successful through the air when playing outdoors on the road this season. They scored only 6 points in Week 7 against Cleveland and had only 127 passing yards last week against the Jets.

Even if Tua Tagovailoa has more volume than expected, it doesn’t guarantee that he will be able to connect with his pass catchers at an efficient rate.
