This evening’s Sunday Night Football matchup could be a potential NFC playoff preview, with the Detroit Lions traveling to battle the Philadelphia Eagles. Kickoff is set for 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.
Unfortunately for Detroit fans, the Lions aren’t going to be at full strength for this game. They will be down at least one starter on the offensive line. TE Sam LaPorta was placed on injured reserve earlier this week. The Lions will be missing multiple defensive starters too.
Meanwhile, the Eagles are the healthiest they have been in weeks with the return of C Cam Jurgens and no other big names on the team’s injury report. The challenge for Philadelphia will be how they handle playing on short rest after they were in Green Bay for Monday Night Football in Week 10.
Despite these teams trending in opposite directions on the injury report ahead of kickoff, the NFL Odds for Sunday Night Football indicate that the market is still anticipating a competitive game, with the Eagles favored by only 2.5 points on the spread.

Best NFL Player Props for Lions vs. Eagles
Here are my top player prop bets, with kickoff scheduled for 8:20 PM ET on Sunday, November 16th:
- Jalen Hurts Over/Under 205.5 Passing Yards
- Amon-Ra St. Brown Over/Under 7.5 Receptions
- A.J. Brown Over/Under 0.5 Touchdowns
Jalen Hurts OVER 205.5 Passing Yards (-114, FanDuel)
This season, Hurts is averaging 6.7 yards per attempt against man coverage, compared to only 5.4 yards per attempt against zone coverage. Detroit has played the 6th-highest rate of man coverage in the NFL in 2025.
Making life even more difficult for Detroit in Week 11 is the fact that they will be without CB Terrion Arnold, CB D.J. Reed, and S Kerby Joseph – 3 of their 4 best players in the secondary unit.
Philadelphia has a tendency to become overly reliant on the run at times, but this is a matchup that should allow them to have plenty of success through the air.
Amon-Ra St. Brown UNDER 7.5 Receptions (-134, FanDuel)
St. Brown has been one of the most targeted players in the NFL this season and even more so of late, with at least 8 targets in 5 consecutive games. He would have likely had his 5th consecutive game of at least 9 targets last weekend if not for a blowout against the Commanders, which allowed him to get some rest in the 2nd half.
Tonight, however, he will meet one of the few teams that has the potential to truly give him problems. Slot CB Cooper DeJean ranks 9th out of 114 cornerbacks in PFF coverage grade this season, playing primarily in the slot.
Philadelphia’s defense is likely going to do everything they can to take away Detroit’s top option in the passing game this evening, especially with TE Sam LaPorta ruled out. It wouldn’t be surprising to see St. Brown have a down week in terms of production.
A.J. Brown Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+155, FanDuel)
Some people like to say that A.J. Brown has been complaining about his lack of touches of late. Regardless of how a person interprets his tone, the indisputable fact is that he has been very vocal about the team’s offensive struggles in recent weeks.
The good news for Brown and the Eagles is that they draw a very favorable matchup against an injury-depleted Detroit defense that will be without multiple starters in Week 11. The Lions are also a team that has frequently deployed man coverage this season, which has historically been the coverage against which Brown has excelled the most. If there was a time for Brown to find paydirt, it’s likely tonight.
