Week 8 of the NFL regular season will begin with a Thursday Night Football matchup between the Carolina Panthers and Green Bay Packers.
Kickoff from Lambeau Field is set for 8:15 pm ET on Prime Video.
The NFL odds for this matchup have the Packers favored by 3.5 points ahead of kickoff – a significant market adjustment after Green Bay opened as 7.5-point favorites for this game back in August.
Teams that have seen more than 3 points of market movement against them from August’s opening number are 7-12 SU but 10-8-1 ATS this season.
The total is set at over/under 46.5 points.
Below, you can find three of my favorite player props for Panthers vs. Packers!
Best NFL Player Props for Panthers vs. Packers
Here are my top player prop bets, with kickoff scheduled for 8:15 PM ET on Thursday, October 29th:
- Jordan Love Over/Under 1.5 Passing Touchdowns
- Josh Jacobs Over/Under 82.5 Rushing + Receiving Yards
- Savion Williams Over/Under 24.5 Receiving Yards
Jordan Love OVER 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (-150, BetMGM)
Every semi-capable quarterback to face the Carolina defense this season has posted a positive EPA/play against them. Caleb Williams (+0.548 EPA/play) and Baker Mayfield (+0.498 EPA/play) both had their best game of the season to date against the Panthers’ injury-depleted secondary unit.
Love has thrown for multiple touchdowns in 6 of his 7 games this season, which is a direct consequence of Green Bay’s inability to run the ball effectively. He should have opportunities to sling it once again in a favorable matchup.
Josh Jacobs UNDER 82.5 Rushing + Receiving Yards (-105, BetMGM)
Jacobs was seemingly a welcome addition for Green Bay in Week 7 against the Lions. After missing the team’s first 6 games, Jacobs immediately reclaimed the team’s lead role out of the backfield, carrying the ball 11 times and catching 5 passes on 7 targets.
That said, it remains to be seen how Jacobs’ body bounces back after playing 35 snaps in his first game action of the season. He hasn’t been practicing with the team, and he obviously didn’t play a snap before this past weekend. It might be a tall ask to expect another heavy workload from Jacobs as he tries to play himself into game shape on a short week.
Savion Williams OVER 24.5 Receiving Yards (+100, Novig)
Williams has impressed in each of Green Bay’s last 2 games, hauling in all 7 of his targets for 79 receiving yards. He played 40 snaps in both Week 6 and Week 7, and he could potentially be in line for an even larger workload on Thursday if Matthew Golden isn’t fully healthy.
Williams was drafted in the third round last summer out of TCU, so he has some prospect pedigree. This is good value for a player who is seemingly catching the attention of Green Bay’s coaching staff with his recent play.
