Playbook

Week 16 of Thursday Night Football might be the 2025 regular season game with the highest stakes, with Matthew Stafford and the Rams visiting Sam Darnold and the Seahawks. The winner will take sole possession of 1st place in the NFC West division and have a clear path to the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs.

Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. ET on Prime Video.

The big injury news to pay attention to ahead of tonight’s action involves the likely absence of star WR Davante Adams, who is listed as doubtful. Adams leads the entire NFL in touchdown catches and ranks inside the top 25 in receiving yards. He will be a big loss if he’s officially ruled out.

Looking at the NFL odds for Thursday Night Football, the market is expecting a competitive game, with the Seahawks favored by 1.5 points. The total is set at over/under 42.5 points.

Best NFL Player Props for Rams vs. Seahawks

Here are my top player prop bets, with kickoff scheduled for 8:15 PM ET on Thursday, December 18th:

Matthew Stafford OVER 21.5 Completions (-114, FanDuel)

Quite simply, the Rams have been able to get whatever they want through the air since their Week 8 bye. During that span, Stafford leads the NFL with a 58.0% success rate – a full 2.5% better than any other quarterback.

The Seahawks are one of the league’s dominant defenses, but much of their success comes from minimizing big plays. Only 2 teams have allowed fewer 40+ yard completions this fall than Seattle. However, stopping the deep ball has meant that Seattle has to concede a few more underneath throws.

This is a playable number for Stafford, especially if we operate from the assumption that the Rams probably won’t have tremendous success running the ball tonight against a top-5 run defense.

Sam Darnold OVER 19.5 Completions (-118, Caesars)

Darnold has certainly had his problems with turnovers again in 2025, but on a down-to-down basis, there have been few signal callers more proficient than him. Since the team’s Week 8 bye, Darnold ranks 2nd in the NFL in success rate, trailing only Matthew Stafford.

The Rams defense has taken a notable step backwards since losing Quentin Lake to injury. On a night where winds could keep both of these offenses from taking a lot of shots downfield, it wouldn’t be surprising to see a few more checkdowns and throws behind the line of scrimmage.

Colby Parkinson Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+210, BetMGM)

There might not be a more underrated tight end in the league right now than Parkinson. During the Rams’ last 7 games, he ranks 3rd on the team in targets, receptions, and receiving yards. He’s been particularly active near the end zone of late, catching 6 touchdowns in his last 6 games.

Parkinson played a season-high 62 snaps in Week 15. He has a high floor in terms of playing time on Thursday. If the Rams find themselves near the goal line, expect to see him on the field and perhaps even the first option on a passing play or two.
