This week’s edition of Thursday Night Football will feature Sam Darnold and the Seahawks against Kyler Murray and the Cardinals. Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. ET on Prime Video from State Farm Stadium.

Seattle and Arizona enter play with identical 2-1 records, with their losses both coming against the 49ers in close games. Beyond that, neither the Seahawks nor the Cardinals have played any real contenders. The Seahawks beat the Steelers, who have been outgained by 110+ yards in each of their 3 games, and the winless Saints. The Cardinals also beat the Saints, in addition to defeating the lowly Panthers.

Both teams will be looking to make an early season statement in tonight’s matchup.

Tonight’s NFL odds for Seahawks vs. Cardinals have moved significantly throughout the week. Arizona was favored by 2.5 points on the look-ahead line, but the line has flipped to Seattle being favored by 1.5 points as we approach kickoff. Oddsmakers certainly seem to be expecting a competitive game.

Below, you can find three of my favorite player props for Seahawks vs. Cardinals!

Here are my top player prop bets, with kickoff scheduled for 8:15 PM ET on Thursday, September 25th:

Trey Benson OVER 0.5 Touchdowns (+122, FanDuel)

Through 3 games, the Cardinals have given 2 running backs more than 2 carries – James Conner and Trey Benson. Conner suffered a season-ending injury in Week 3, which leaves Benson as the clear-cut RB1 on a short week.

Kyler Murray hasn’t been featured much near the goal line in recent seasons for Arizona. In 2023, he had only 6 of the team’s 23 goal-line attempts. In 2024, Murray had only 1 of the team’s 18 attempts on the goal line. This year, Murray has received only 1 of 5 such opportunities.

At 6’0’’, 220 pounds, Benson has a very similar build to Conner, who has handled the majority of the short-yardage work for Arizona in recent years. It would be surprising to see anyone other than Benson in this role on Thursday.

Sam Darnold OVER 20.5 Completions (-110, Caesars)

Entering play on Thursday, Arizona’s defense has played the 4th-highest rate of 2-high coverage in the NFL this season. Early this fall, there has been a clear emphasis from the Cardinals defense to keep everything in front of them, which has allowed a lot of underneath completions, but not very many explosive plays – ranking 28th in success rate allowed against the pass.

The strength of this Arizona defense is up front, where they invested heavily this past offseason. The Cardinals rank 6th in EPA/play and 7th in success rate allowed against opposing ground attacks in 2025. It wouldn’t be surprising to see Seattle trying to replace part of their running game with more short-yardage passes this evening.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba UNDER 84.5 Receiving Yards (-110, bet365)

The Cardinals have allowed consecutive big games to opposing WR1s, allowing Ricky Pearsall to have 117 receiving yards in Week 3 and Tetairoa McMillian to have 100 receiving yards in Week 2. That being said, this is a tall number for Jaxon Smith-Njigba – especially on a short week.

Smith-Njigba has been the clear alpha in Seattle’s passing attack early in 2025, but Cooper Kupp leads the team with 113 receiving yards on “short” passes. Given the style of defense that Arizona deploys, it wouldn’t be surprising to see more work for Kupp underneath and a little bit less work for Smith-Njigba downfield.
