Week 6 of the NFL regular season will begin with an AFC North battle between the Steelers and Bengals on Thursday Night Football. Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. ET on Prime Video.
Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers enter play with a commanding lead in the division, having won 4 of their first 5 games of the season. The Bengals, now led by Joe Flacco, are still searching for their first win since losing Joe Burrow to injured reserve in Week 2.
Looking at the NFL Odds ahead of kickoff, the market appears to be expecting a relatively competitive matchup between these teams on Thursday, with the Steelers favored by 5.5 points on the spread. The total is set at over/under 45 points.

Best NFL Player Props for Steelers vs. Bengals
Here are my top player prop bets, with kickoff scheduled for 8:15 PM ET on Thursday, October 16th:
- Aaron Rodgers Over/Under 1.5 Passing Touchdowns
- Jaylen Warren Over/Under 47.5 Rushing Yards
- Roman Wilson Over/Under 7.5 Receiving Yards
Aaron Rodgers UNDER 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (+108, DraftKings)

Rodgers has thrown multiple touchdown passes in 3 of his first 5 games this season, but it’s probably unwise to expect that trend to continue, especially for a 41-year-old quarterback. It’s no secret that Cincinnati’s pass defense has been poor early in 2025, ranking 29th in success rate and 27th in EPA/play through 6 games. However, their run defense has been equally inept, ranking 24th in success rate and 27th in EPA/play.
Despite having a 4-1 SU record this year, Pittsburgh hasn’t scored more than 24 points in a game since Week 1 against the Jets. Rodgers has thrown fewer than 2 touchdowns in only half of his road contests since tearing his Achilles. Factor in some colder weather and a short week, and getting plus money on this line seems to be decent value.
Jaylen Warren OVER 47.5 Rushing Yards (-112, FanDuel)

This past weekend against Cleveland, Warren returned from his 1-game absence to reclaim his role as Pittsburgh’s lead rusher, tallying a team-high 11 carries for 52 yards. There has been some concern from certain pundits that Warren played only 31 snaps in that game, with Kenneth Gainwell and Kaleb Johnson also seeing double-digit snaps.
However, a lot of that likely had to do with the game script. In the first three quarters, Warren played 30 snaps and earned 11 of the 19 rush attempts that went to the team’s running backs. In the 4th quarter, with the game out of reach, Pittsburgh gave 3 carries to Johnson and 1 carry to Gainwell, giving Warren a breather ahead of a short week.
Tonight, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Warren have an even greater share of the team’s workload out of the backfield, playing on the road in a divisional matchup. He should have plenty of opportunities to find some room to run this evening against a relatively weak Bengals defense.
Roman Wilson OVER 7.5 Receiving Yards (-118, BetMGM)

In Week 6, Wilson saw his most action since Week 2, playing 15 snaps against the Browns with fellow wide receiver Calvin Austin inactive. Austin is out again this evening, which should lead to a fair number of opportunities once again for Wilson.
Wilson was the team’s 3rd-round draft pick out of Michigan last summer, so he’s a player the organization would like to see get going considering the draft capital spent on him. Realistically, he could clear this number with a single catch facing a weak Cincinnati secondary unit.
