The 2026 NFL regular season begins tonight with the Patriots and Seahawks meeting in a rematch of Super Bowl LX. Kickoff is set for 8:20 PM ET on NBC from Lumen Field in Seattle, WA. Looking at the NFL odds, the Patriots have gained a little bit of market support as kickoff approaches, moving from +3.5 to +3.

Below, you can find three of my favorite player props for Patriots vs. Seahawks!

Best NFL Player Props for Patriots vs. Seahawks

Here are my top player prop bets, with kickoff scheduled for 8:20 PM ET on Wednesday, September 9th:

Drake Maye UNDER 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (-160, bet365)

Quarterbacks who don’t play in the preseason have historically underperformed market expectations in Week 1. Maye’s lack of preseason work didn’t seem to be intentional. Head coach Mike Vrabel alluded to wanting Maye to play in the team’s preseason finale, but he ultimately kept his starters off of the field due to weather concerns.

Seattle’s secondary unit could be down a key player or two, depending how the final NFL injury report shakes out. Nonetheless, it’s often difficult for signal-callers to execute in the red zone in their team’s season opener after not getting any real game reps in the preseason.

Sam Darnold UNDER 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (-127, Novig)

Darnold didn’t play in the preseason. As noted above, historically, quarterbacks who don’t play in the preseason often don’t exceed market expectations in Week 1. In 2024, 9 of 10 such quarterbacks went under 1.5 passing touchdowns in their team’s season opener. In 2025, 6 of 10 such quarterbacks failed to throw multiple touchdowns.

Darnold has the added challenge of playing in his first game with new offensive coordinator Brian Fleury, who has never called plays in the NFL in his coaching career. This is good value on the under.

George Holani OVER 19.5 Rushing Yards (-113, FanDuel)

Jadarian Price garnered a tremendous amount of hype this preseason after the Seahawks drafted him in the 1st round this past summer to fill the void left behind by the departure of Kenneth Walker III in free agency. The hype may prove to be more sizzle than steak in Week 1, however.

Price missed a week of training camp with upper leg soreness. He never had more than 120 carries in a single season during his collegiate career, and he had double-digit carries in only 5 games last season for Notre Dame.

Emanuel Wilson is firmly behind Price and Holani on the team’s depth chart after missing significant time this summer with a hamstring injury. If Holani sees more than 5 rushing attempts, he should be able to clear this number.
