NFL PrizePicks: Niners vs. Jets Player Predictions for Monday Night Football
In this space, we’ll look at the PrizePicks board for the 49ers vs. Jets and try to make some predictions based on projections, trends, and the market.
PrizePicks, one of the best DFS sites for NFL fantasy pick’em, lays out player projections for us, which we stack to create entries that pay real money. They prompt us with a statistical projection for a player, and we get to pick whether or not the player will get More or Less than the number offered. There are hundreds of players from whom to choose, and we only have to make at least two picks to create an entry. Use the PrizePicks promo code “GRINDERS” to get $50 on a $5 entry if you haven’t signed up already!

Breece Hall MORE/LESS 0.5 Rush + Rec TDs (DEMON) and MORE/LESS 27.5 Receiving Yards
The Niners have a great defense, but the ball has to go somewhere. Expecting the coverage to be tight downfield, we should expect Hall to get a lot of checkdowns from Aaron Rodgers, who’s always very conscious of his completion percentage. There will just be a lot of opportunity for Hall to get into space and compile receiving yards. RotoGrinders has Hall projected for 30.2 receiving yards.
As for attacking the TD projection, it’s tough to see any Jet getting into the end zone, but they do have an implied team total of 20 points, so someone is likely getting in. Hall has the best chance to do so, as it’s easiest to get him the ball. TD plays are always tight, but RotoGrinders has Hall projected for 0.8 rushing + receiving TDs, so the DEMON boost is juicy.
- PLAY: Hall MORE Than 0.5 Rush + Rec TDs (DEMON) and MORE Than 27.5 Receiving Yards
Christian McCaffrey MORE/LESS 20.5 Fantasy Points
We can respect the Jets defense without being crazy about what they can do to McCaffrey. 20.5 is a really low projection for someone who RotoGrinders has projected for 1.1 TDs in a PPR format. RotoGrinders has McCaffrey (conservatively) projected for 17 rush attempts and 6.3 targets. Anything under a point per opportunity for McCaffrey in any matchup is appealing to us. RotoGrinders has McCaffrey projected for 23.8 fantasy points – 16.1% more than his PrizePicks projection.
- PLAY: McCaffrey MORE Than 20.5 Fantasy Points
Aaron Rodgers MORE/LESS 15.0 Fantasy Points
RotoGrinders has Rodgers projected for 15.6 fantasy points, and I don’t like it. There’s virtually no ceiling for the near-41-year-old QB who hasn’t played a full NFL game in over 18 months, returning to play against one of the best defenses in the league. Add the 49ers’ excellent ability to control the time of possession to their efficacy, and Rodgers doesn’t have much room to grow. Personally, I see this game being a disaster for Rodgers.
- PLAY: Rodgers LESS Than 15.0 Fantasy Points
