Underdog Fantasy – one of the most popular DFS pick’em sites – provides player projections for NFL games each day. It is then up to us to decide whether a player will ultimately exceed or fall short of those projections in the games. With a huge roster of players available from which to choose, we just need to make a minimum of two picks to build an entry.
I’ll break down the board by looking at factors like usage, projected game flow, lines in the sports betting market, and of course, our RotoGrinders projections to forecast how NFL players might fare in categories like passing yards, rushing yards, and receiving yards. Seahawks vs. Bears NFL Underdog Predictions
Here are the Seahawks vs. Bears NFL Underdog predictions for Thursday Night Football:
Zach Charbonnet Lower 3.5 Receptions
In our model, Zach Charbonnet has a 60.02% chance of having lower than 3.5 receptions (2.28% edge), indicating a favorable (albeit uncomfortable) spot to target “Lower” than based on our projections. In his two starts without Kenneth Walker, Charbonnet had receptions totals of 7 and 2. With Seattle being 4-point favorites, the hope would be that Charbonnet isn’t peppered with targets out of the backfield. Over the long term, our model has this as a +EV spot.
Keenan Allen Higher Than 11.35 Fantasy Score
As the main receiver in Chicago’s offense, Keenan Allen has consistently seen an increase in his target shares. With the recent changes in the coaching staff, Allen has a significant opportunity to achieve higher fantasy scores. The matchup is favorable for him, given his exceptional ability to exploit defensive mismatches, particularly against Seattle’s weaker pass coverage. His win percentage of 56.60% indicates a solid potential for exceeding his projected fantasy score.
Tyler Lockett Higher Than 1.5 Receptions
In our model, Tyler Lockett has a 56.49% chance to have “Higher” than 1.5 receptions. While it’s not the biggest edge, it is considered +EV when used with the Charbonnet and Allen projection over the long run. Lockett has exceeded 1.5 receptions in 12 of his 15 games this season.
