NFL Value Picks by Site: Week 11

The Bye weeks are officially over, which means larger player pools and more value to be had! Heading into Week 10 we have a lot of injury situations opening the doors for valuable roster plays. Also noteworthy this week are the additions of large-field contests to the Daily Fantasy world. So far we’ve been accustomed to the FFFC, DZ $500, SportsGeek $5,500 Gtd., SportsGeek $10k Gtd., all of the FantasyFactor Unlimited Entries, and the SWDP 25 Mans. Well starting this week we also have a few other unlimited entry guaranteed fields to look forward to. The new contests are the $109 – $6k Gtd. on SportsGeek, a $10 – $1,500 Gtd on FanDuel, and a $25 – $2k Gtd. on FanDuel. With all of the big-field action going on, it’s important to find some value picks with high-ceilings. Here are some of the cheapest of the cheap (and a few mid-cost) picks that I’m targeting for Week 11:

DraftZone

Position Player Cost/Max Pos. Cost Notes
QB Jon Kitna $4,910 / $10,000 When you factor in that in his 1st game vs. the Giants he didn’t play the entire game and that 3 or 4 of his 7 interceptions so far have been entirely the WRs fault, Kitna has been solid. He’s gonna be pumped to play his old team, Dallas hasn’t yet shown the ability to pound teams on the ground, and the 3 headed WR monster + a little J-Witt provides for great targets; Kitna has great potential this week.
RB Felix Jones $6,550 / $12,000 I said, yet the Dallas run D has yet to… With a new coach in town and a tasty matchup against the Detroit Rush D, Felix Jones has breakout game written all over him. Oh yea, DraftZone is PPR, and Felix had 3 catches for over 75 yds and a TD last week vs. the Giants.
WR Santonio Holmes $5,600 / $10,000 His value is increasing every week, and right when he’s hitting full-stride, the JETS get the worst Pass D in the NFL.
WR James Jones $4,850 / $10,000 With Driver again doutbful, James Jones could be in line for a big game in this high-stakes game.
TE Vernon Davis $6,790 / $9,000 The #2 TE is cheaper than Tamme and Tony Gonzo b/c of DraftZone’s heavy use of Recent Scores in Player Rankings
DST Pittsburgh D vs. Oakland $5,710 / $8,000 Thank you again DZ recent score weighting :)

Fantasy Sports LiveSWDP 950 Pt. Cap

Position Player Cost/Max Pos. Cost Notes
QB Mark Sanchez 172 / 242 Mark Sanchez has been feast or famine, and it’s been completely matchup based. This week he’s got a good matchup. A really good one.
RB Keiland Williams 35 / 209 Clinton Portis is suiting up, but will likely be eased in by just going in for pass-blocks. 35 Points for a top 25 RB is of huge value.
WR Mike Thomas 73 / 148 Mike Thomas has been a huge surprise this season, and now MSW is out. Thomas is a top 20 WR this week.
WR Santonio Holmes 72 / 148 His value is increasing every week, and right when he’s hitting full-stride, the JETS get the worst Pass D in the NFL.
TE Brandon Pettigrew 66 / 90 Despite the two TE sets, he’s been on fire this season.
DST Ravens vs. Panthers 73 / 123 FSL is 12 Pts + (-0.5 x Pts Scored), and Carolina might not score any.

FanDuel – $10 – $1,500 Guarantee

Position Player Cost/Max Pos. Cost Notes
QB Jon Kitna $6,900 / $9,900 When you factor in that in his 1st game vs. the Giants he didn’t play the entire game and that 3 or 4 of his 7 interceptions so far have been entirely the WRs fault, Kitna has been solid. He’s gonna be pumped to play his old team, Dallas hasn’t yet shown the ability to pound teams on the ground, and the 3 headed WR monster + a little J-Witt provides for great targets; Kitna has great potential this week.
RB Felix Jones $5,600 / $9,400 I said, yet the Dallas run D has yet to… With a new coach in town and a tasty matchup against the Detroit Rush D, Felix Jones has breakout game written all over him. Oh yea, DraftZone is PPR, and Felix had 3 catches for over 75 yds and a TD last week vs. the Giants.
WR Mike Thomas $5,300 / $8,200 Mike Thomas has been a huge surprise this season, and now MSW is out. Thomas is a top 20 WR this week.
WR Louis Murphy $4,900 / $8,200 DHBay is a gametime decision and Zach Miller is coming back from injury. Louis Murphy went off on the Steelers last time they played, and is capable of doing so again.
TE Brandon Pettigrew $5,100 / $7,600 Despite the two TE sets, he’s been on fire this season.

More Salary Value Picks:

DraftStreet

Position Player Cost/Max Pos. Cost Notes
RB Fred Jackson $7,812 / $16,853 The list gets short on DraftStreet since their pricing is so tough. Sure the Cincy Run D is strong, but CJ Spiller is out and FJax is the featured back now, just as he was for the Bills at the end of last season. 25 touches last week and 3 TDs. For just $7,800 – he’s tough to pass up.
RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis $8,762 / $16,853 He’s been up and down with Woodhead in town, but against Indy’s Run D, look for the best nickname in sports to grind out a solid game with a lot of delays and inside draws going his way to split Indy’s D-End combo.
WR Mike Thomas $6,842 / $13,183 Mike Thomas has been a huge surprise this season, and now MSW is out. Thomas is a top 20 WR this week.
