NFL Week 1: Big Events Recap
What a weekend to be part of this DFS community, there was some big prizes given out right off the bat and several players qualified for what they hope is a monster payday down the road. Our biggest winner was DirtyGirl15 taking down the DraftKings Kickoff Million for 150K. DP47 took down the $109 qualifer over on DraftStreet for a chance to defend his title, if this guy is going after a qualifier, you better believe he is going to get there, dangerous. 3 people punched their ticket to Fanduel to get that jet ride home after winning a million and 2 people are going to the Playboy Mansion for Starstreet’s signature event.
The most common winning play seemed to be the pairing of Kaepernick with either Boldin or Vernon Davis or both. Some people shot up the leaderboard last night with the Eagles new look offense and McCoy and Vick. Big triple TD games from Cruz and Peterson helped a lot of the winners as well.
Congrats to everyone on this list, well played this week, sorry if I missed anyone, there was a lot of big contests going on this week across the industry.
DirtyGirl15 took down the biggest payday of the weekend, a sweet 150K for the first place finish, not a bad way to start your season. He banked on Kaepernick touching the Packers and paired him with both Boldin and Vernon Davis, that trio did not disappoint. Terribad finished 7th for a nice 10 grand, RotoGrinders very own Cameron dropped 2 teams in the top 20 using Jordan Cameron most likely due to really liking his last name.

DP47 wins a chance to defend his crown right away in Week 1 for the DFFC Qualifier. Took it down with a late stat change, that’s good karma for the guy that showed up to the RotoGrinders party with a box of hats for everyone that he had made himself, he walked out of the party with a giant trophy for taking down the freeroll bowl against some tough competition. DP paired up the Eli to Cruz combo and nailed the defense this week with the Chiefs.
Top Grinder Metsfan828 finished 4th, other Grinders in the top 20 were TheSanction finishing 5th, ERIII finishing 6th, and Dinkpiece in the 8 spot.

Mikezulu18 took this contest down with a Kaepernick/Boldin combo, he somehow survived Sudfeld to still put up a score of 194. Both DP47 and Headchopper were in the top 10.

Dishadams took this down with a score of 211, Mikezulu18 finished 2nd in this contest. Dishadams used some Monday night Eagles magic with Vick and McCoy and really nailed his low percentage owned picks, Jordan Cameron only 5% owned and Shane Vereen at 3% owned.

Tsmith is the winner here where AJ Green carried him, less than 1 percent owned. 2nd place went to Biesterfield who had a big weekend across the board. Grinder member Waffles finished 7th with a strong showing.

Kdf5012 took this down with a 49ers mini-stack, can’t say I would have thought this was a good idea before the games but his team consisted of Kaepernick, Gore, Boldin, and Vernon Davis. It didn’t hurt to have Peterson mixed in as well. Headchopper put a 9th place team together.

Caves took this contest down with a strong balanced line up where his QBs (Romo and Big Ben) were actually his worst scorers. Dinkpiece claimed his standard 2nd place qualifier spot. Lots of other big Grinder names on this leaderboard, Shanksalot was 4th, 7th, and 11th. Al Smizzle landed a 6th place finish. Headchopper, Mike5754, Naap, Primetime420, and TommyG were also in the mix.

Another $2500 first place went to simoniner using the Kaepernick, Boldin, Vernon trio to win. RussARMNY took 2nd place with an off the board Sam Bradford play (less than 1 percent owned). JL9000 had a solid 9th place showing.

The Bomb 1 was won by skidsdakid for 15k with some Eli to Cruz action. Grinder Stevietpfl finished 7th for a thousand.
The Bomb 2 was dominated by eburke313 using the same line up to take down 1st and 2nd which paid him a cool 25 grand. His line up paired Bolden and Vernon with Kaepernick.
