Weather Report and Forecast for NFL Week 10

Week 10 in the NFL is bringing us back to the ugly weather that I love, but many fantasy football players may hate.
This NFL weather report will highlight any extreme temperatures, precipitation, and most importantly, high winds that we could see across the NFL landscape this week. If a game isn’t specifically listed in this week’s report, that means the weather is quiet enough for it not to be an issue in that particular game.
NFL Week 10 Weather Report and Forecast
As always, it’s best to stay up to date with the very latest forecasts, so follow me on Twitter/X @KevinRothWx and keep an eye on my main weather page. A reminder that while temperature and rain/snow can impact a game, the greatest impact by far comes from high wind, so I’ll be looking to highlight those spots when possible.
Thursday Night Football, November 6th
Las Vegas Raiders @ Denver Broncos – Despite the high altitude and the approaching cold season, the weather for TNF is perfect: 50s with light winds and no precipitation.
Sunday Main Slate, November 9th
Cleveland Browns @ New York Jets – Likely the wettest game of the week, I’m expecting a steady soaking rain in NY/NJ during gametime, which could lead to a decrease in passing efficiency and a reliance on running the ball.
New York Giants @ Chicago Bears – The wind is the biggest issue here, likely coming in at 15-20 mph sustained (and I’d guess closer to 20), with gusts over 30 mph. On top of the wind, it’s quite chilly with temps in the 30s, and a few rain or even snow showers can’t be ruled out, though I don’t expect any heavy precipitation. The wind and colder air could make long throws and kicks more difficult.
Detroit Lions @ Washington Commanders – A stray shower is possible here, but rainfall coverage and rainfall totals look slim, so I’m not expecting any real impact.
Sunday Night Football, November 9th
Pittsburgh Steelers @ Los Angeles Chargers – Indoors at SoFi, no issue.
Monday Night Football, November 10th
Philadelphia Eagles @ Green Bay Packers – Below freezing temps on “The Frozen Tundra of Lambeau Field,” but with light winds and no precip, I don’t really see the 30-degree temperature playing a huge role here.
How Will the Weather in Week 10 Affect Betting & Fantasy Football Picks?
I think that both the Chicago game and the Jets game are spots of moderate impact. That means that sports bettors should be locked in to how the weather will impact both games (decrease to scoring in both spots), and fantasy football players should also consider the weather impact. Neither game reaches the critical “must-fade” in fantasy levels, but both games have impactful weather.
In case things change, I’ll be posting radar GIFs to Twitter/X as we get closer to kickoff.
