Weather Report and Forecast for NFL Week 13
Week 13 brings us back into a more active weather pattern across the country, including some games with rain chances, impactful winds, and cold weather.
This NFL weather report will highlight any extreme temperatures, precipitation, and most importantly, high winds that we could see across the NFL landscape this week. If a game isn’t specifically listed in this week’s report, that means the weather is quiet enough for it not to be an issue in that particular game.
NFL Week 13 Weather Report and Forecast

A reminder that while temperature and rain/snow can impact a game, the greatest impact by far comes from high wind, so I’ll be looking to highlight those spots when possible.
Thanksgiving Day, November 27th
Green Bay Packers @ Detroit Lions – Game indoors.
Kansas City Chiefs @ Dallas Cowboys – There’s a roof if needed; no concerns.
Cincinnati Bengals @ Baltimore Ravens – A cold and breezy night in Baltimore, temperatures will be just a hair above freezing, with a 10-15 mph wind pushing feels-like temps into the 20s. The breeze could also have a slight impact on some deeper throws and kicks, though I expect most of the game will be played without the winds having any impact.
Friday Afternoon Game, November 28th
Chicago Bears @ Philadelphia Eagles – Winds should be around 15 mph sustained early in the game, down to 10 mph late in the game. Gusts throughout the game should come in between 25 and 30 mph. That could impact a few deeper throws and kicks, especially early, though I don’t think it will be a major disruptor to offenses.
Sunday Main Slate, November 30th
San Francisco 49ers @ Cleveland Browns – Currently this is the game I expect to have the greatest weather impacts. Winds should be sustained around 20 mph (if not a bit higher), with wind gusts coming in at or over 30 mph. On top of that we could also see some rain showers. I consider this game a bump down to passing attacks and kickers, and because of that, a slight bump down to offense and scoring in general.
LA Rams @ Carolina Panthers – A chance for showers; winds stay light.
Atlanta Falcons @ New York Jets – A good chance for some rain, with winds a bit over 10 mph sustained.
Buffalo Bills @ Pittsburgh Steelers – I won’t rule out some rain, though it looks more likely before the game than during the game. Temps are around 40 degrees with a 10 mph wind. It’s not perfect, but it’s good enough.
Sunday Night Football, November 30th
Denver Broncos @ Washington Commanders – There’s a chance for some rain, though again I think rain chances are more likely pregame than during the game. Winds will stay light; temps are chilly but manageable in the 40s.
Monday Night Football, December 1st
New York Giants @ New England Patriots – Temps will be a bit below freezing, but winds are light and no precipitation is expected, so it isn’t a high-impact weather game.
How Will the Weather in Week 13 Affect Betting & Fantasy Football Picks?
There are a few things worthy of watching this week; at the top of my list is Cleveland, where wind and rain are likely to be an issue. There are also a few games where rain is possible, like the Jets game and Panthers game; we’ll need to see radar closer to kickoff to nail down the impacts there. Lastly, a few cold weather games, which isn’t a significant downgrade to offenses but is a slight bump down to scoring.
