Weather Report and Forecast for NFL Week 14

Week 14 brings us some of the coldest weather we’ve seen this year, plus a couple games with snow chances and some rain issues in Florida.
This NFL weather report will highlight any extreme temperatures, precipitation, and most importantly, high winds that we could see across the NFL landscape this week. If a game isn’t specifically listed in this week’s report, that means the weather is quiet enough for it not to be an issue in that particular game.
NFL Week 14 Weather Report and Forecast
As always, it’s best to stay up to date with the very latest forecasts, so follow me on Twitter/X @KevinRothWx and keep an eye on my main weather page. A reminder that while temperature and rain/snow can impact a game, the greatest impact by far comes from high wind, so I’ll be looking to highlight those spots when possible.
Sunday Main Slate, December 7th
New Orleans Saints @ Tampa Bay Bucs – There’s a decent chance of some rain, though currently it looks likely that the heaviest rain will hold north of the stadium during the game.
Indianapolis Colts @ Jacksonville Jaguars – Another game with a good chance for rain, maybe even a better chance than in Tampa. This game also has a greater potential for heavier rain, though as always you can’t really pinpoint rain until close to kickoff.
Tennessee Titans @ Cleveland Browns – Cold, snowy, and a light breeze. The wind holds around 10 mph, so that’s not a major issue, but the snow is worth watching. My current expectation is for snow showers, not a total white-out, but it’s still impactful (and will likely look worse than it really is because snow is very dramatic on TV).
Cincinnati Bengals @ Buffalo Bills – Another potential snow game, and another reminder that some QBs (Tom Brady has been one to mention this) prefer snow because it actually slows the pass rush. Anyways, it’s cold, around 30 degrees, winds are light, and there’s a good chance of at least some snow showers during the game.
Chicago Bears @ Green Bay Packers – Absolutely frigid. Temps in the teens all game long. Temperature isn’t as tied in to scoring as high wind, but it does matter, and this is a downgrade to offenses.
Sunday Night Football, December 7th
Houston Texans @ Kansas City Chiefs – Another cold one; temps should hold in the 20s all game, which is cold enough for a slight downgrade to passing and kicking.
Monday Night Football, December 8th
Philadelphia Eagles @ LA Chargers – Indoors at SoFi, no worries.
How Will the Weather in Week 14 Affect Betting & Fantasy Football Picks?
This looks to be a high-impact weather week. Rain is worth monitoring in both Jacksonville and Tampa Bay, snow is noteworthy in Cleveland and Buffalo, and extreme cold impacts the games in Green Bay and Kansas City. As of now I think all 6 of those games are a slight downgrade to offense, and depending on the intensity of the rain, those Florida games could end up a bit worse.
In case things change, I’ll be posting radar GIFs to Twitter/X as we get closer to kickoff.
