Weather Report and Forecast for NFL Week 4

Dolphins wide receiver Hill

Another week with minimal weather concerns, but we’ll keep an eye on a few spots, including how a tropical system off the east coast of the U.S. could impact Monday Night Football in Miami.

This NFL Weather report will highlight any extreme temperatures, precipitation, and most importantly, high winds that we could see across the NFL landscape this week. If a game isn’t specifically listed in this week’s report, that means the weather is quiet enough for it not to be an issue in that particular game.

NFL Week 4 Weather Report and Forecast

As always, it’s best to stay up to date with the very latest forecasts, so follow me on Twitter/X @KevinRothWx and keep an eye on my main weather page.

A reminder that while temperature and rain/snow can impact a game, the greatest impact by far comes from high wind, so I’ll be looking to highlight those spots when possible.

Sunday Morning International Game, September 28th

Minnesota Vikings @ Pittsburgh Steelers – Quiet weather in Dublin, with light winds and dry conditions expected.

Sunday Main Slate, September 28th

Philadelphia Eagles @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Your typical chance for a Florida afternoon downpour. I’m putting the overall rain coverage at roughly 30%, so while you could potentially see heavy rain or even a thunderstorm, I don’t think the chances are high enough to make any bets or fantasy adjustments based on weather.

Sunday Night Football

Green Bay Packers @ Dallas Cowboys – They’ve got a roof if they want it and excellent weather if they don’t.

Monday Night Football, September 29th

New York Jets @ Miami Dolphins – The most interesting weather of the week, which has a chance for rain and a bit of wind. A budding tropical system (“Imelda”) off the east coast of Florida could have a slight influence on the wind pattern in this game, kicking things up to around 10-15mph sustained with gusts around or over 20mph. That’s not enough to impact most plays, but a deep throw or kick could potentially be blown off target. There’s also the chance for a passing downpour, but like in Tampa, the coverage is low enough (30%?) that I wouldn’t go into the game expecting rain.

Cincinnati Bengals @ Denver Broncos – There’s about a 10% chance of a stray shower or storm early in this game, but more than likely, it’s a dry game with light winds.

How Will the Weather in Week 4 Affect Betting & Fantasy Football Picks?

Another week where I don’t think we’ve got anything that moves the needle for betting, DFS, or fantasy football purposes. I’ll be keeping an eye on Miami, because the specifics of the tropical forecast of Imelda could significantly change the outlook here, but as of now, I’m not expecting anything particularly impactful.

In case things change, I’ll be posting radar GIFs to Twitter as we get closer to kickoff.
