Weather Report and Forecast for NFL Week 6

Rams WR Adams

Week 6 of the NFL brings us mostly quiet weather, with one game that could be a troublemaker.

This NFL weather report will highlight any extreme temperatures, precipitation, and most importantly, high winds that we could see across the NFL landscape this week. If a game isn’t specifically listed in this week’s report, that means the weather is quiet enough for it not to be an issue in that particular game.

NFL Week 6 Weather Report and Forecast

As always, it’s best to stay up to date with the very latest forecasts, so follow me on Twitter/X @KevinRothWx and keep an eye on my main weather page. A reminder that while temperature and rain/snow can impact a game, the greatest impact by far comes from high wind, so I’ll be looking to highlight those spots when possible.

Thursday Night Football, October 9th

Philadelphia Eagles @ New York Giants – Mild temps, light winds, no precip.

Sunday Morning International Game, October 12th

Denver Broncos @ New York Jets – Quiet weather in London. I don’t expect any weather impact.

Sunday Main Slate, October 12th

Los Angeles Rams @ Baltimore Ravens – The only game of the week where I currently expect weather is a problem. We should see a steady light-to-moderate rain, which will eventually create some slick conditions for the ball and the field. On top of that, winds are 15 mph sustained with gusts over 25 mph, potentially impacting some deeper throws and longer kicks. This weather isn’t going to completely crush offenses – you can still at least attempt any play in the playbook – but I expect passing efficiency will be knocked down a notch in these conditions, and it’s generally a bump down to offenses.

Sunday Night Football, October 12th

Detroit Lions @ Kansas City Chiefs – Winds around 10 mph, not enough to have any real impact on the game.

Monday Night Football, October 13th

Buffalo Bills @ Atlanta Falcons – Indoors…no issues.

Chicago Bears @ Washington Commanders – 10-mph winds and a slim chance of a pregame or early-game shower. I’m not expecting issues from either.

How Will the Weather in Week 6 Affect Betting & Fantasy Football Picks?

The game that stands out here as the problem is in Baltimore. I still think both teams can have a competent offense in these conditions, but “competent” isn’t ideal, as rain and wind can cause some misfires in the passing game that typically don’t happen in games with perfect weather.

In case things change, I’ll be posting radar GIFs to Twitter/X as we get closer to kickoff.
