Weather Report and Forecast for NFL Week 9

Week 9 in the NFL brings us a few borderline games with some wind and rain, but nothing that looks super impactful.
This NFL weather report will highlight any extreme temperatures, precipitation, and most importantly, high winds that we could see across the NFL landscape this week. If a game isn’t specifically listed in this week’s report, that means the weather is quiet enough for it not to be an issue in that particular game.
NFL Week 9 Weather Report and Forecast
As always, it’s best to stay up to date with the very latest forecasts, so follow me on Twitter/X @KevinRothWx and keep an eye on my main weather page. A reminder that while temperature and rain/snow can impact a game, the greatest impact by far comes from high wind, so I’ll be looking to highlight those spots when possible.
Sunday Main Slate, November 2nd
Tennessee Titans @ Green Bay Packers – Winds here should be fairly stout, around 15mph sustained, maybe even higher than that, with wind gusts coming in between 25-30mph. That’s enough to impact some deeper throws and longer FG’s. A few drops of rain are also possible, though I don’t expect much more than that.
LA Chargers @ Tennessee Titans – Pregame rain looks fairly widespread, but actual in-game rain looks modest or minimal.
Indianapolis Colts @ Pittsburgh Steelers – A stray shower is possible here, but rainfall coverage and rainfall totals look slim, so I’m not expecting any real impact.
Kansas City Chiefs @ Buffalo Bills – A brief rain shower is possible, but I’m not too concerned by what I’m seeing. Winds stay light, and while temps are chilly (40s), it’s not cold enough to impact play. Maybe it’s not perfect weather, but it’s far from a “weather game.”
Sunday Night Football, November 2nd
Seattle Seahawks @ Washington Commanders – It’s a little chilly, with temps in the 40s, but it’s not impactful. I don’t even consider temperature as a factor until temps are below freezing, and with light winds and no precip, I don’t expect any weather issues here.
Monday Night Football, November 3rd
Arizona Cardinals @ Dallas Cowboys – They’ve got a roof at Jerry’s World, so no issues here.
How Will the Weather in Week 9 Affect Betting & Fantasy Football Picks?
A bit of a late add to the weather report, but models have been kicking up stronger and stronger winds in Green Bay, so that is currently first on my list of weather-impact games. The Tennessee game is also worth watching, just to make sure the rain is indeed mostly clear by gametime.
In case things change, I’ll be posting radar GIFs to Twitter/X as we get closer to kickoff.
