What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Moneyball16: Large-field GPPs – Utah is the obvious play tonight. They are too cheap, and their best players are playing so many minutes. I think they will be very popular, and I am not going to tell you not to play them, but in lineups without Utah, I would heavily consider using the opposing Chicago goalie. The price is fine, and if it is a day where Utah scores fewer goals than expected, the goalie will have a good chance at being the top goalie on the slate with only 5 games. A lot of Utah lineups will be eliminated from the running for the top prize.
Joda: Large-field GPPs are my preferred format this evening. There’s abundant value in Utah taking on a Chicago team that gives up far too many chances for their own good. Nick Schmaltz is a cheap winger taking on his old team. JJ Peterka is another cheap winger on a line with Logan Cooley and sharpshooter Dylan Guenther, who has scored a goal in each game this season. Combining Utah exposure with Minnesota, New Jersey, Florida, and even Columbus could pay off.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
