NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings Expert Survey for Saturday, March 14
Who is your favorite skater to spend up for in cash games?
Moneyball16: Jack Eichel
TastefulTides: Tage Thompson
Hunter4ever89: Jack Eichel
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Moneyball16: Large-field GPPs – The closest thing we have to a pure stud with a great matchup is Jack Eichel versus Chicago, so I think ownership will be spread out and less of a factor than most slates, and I already discount the importance of ownership on large Saturday slates anyway, so I really focus on expected production and correlation. Also, because of the lack of great stud plays, mid-priced lineups become more appealing than stretching to make things work with a stars-and-scrubs lineup.
TastefulTides: Single-entry is my preferred format. I am looking to go with the balanced-priced lineups this evening. Montreal really sticks out as very underpriced, and despite likely being highly owned, I think they are good chalk. Although playing on a back-to-back, I think the Islanders are a very strong play today. They are also in a good goalie matchup, so you can correlate David Rittich with them.
Hunter4ever89: Single-entry and 3-max contests are my preferred tournament formats today. We have many appealing teams to target, so I find myself building my lineups without ownership in mind, as I think ownership will be fairly spread out. MTL, VGK, DAL, and TB lead the way as my favorite full-line stacks. I prefer using mini-stacks or one-off pieces from Buffalo, as their top power-play guys are split up at even strength, and they have scoring depth.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

About the Author
Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
