What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Moneyball16: Large-field GPPs. Weirdly enough, I think you can make the best stacks with both the Penguins’ top line and top power-play unit, but if they perform poorly, then I think Sam Montembeault is in line for a huge score with the added leverage of taking a ton of Penguins lineups out of contention. The Penguins are averaging a lot of shots, they have gone in at a below-average rate both this year and last year, and Montreal allows a lot of shots. An under-the-radar factor is that over the past few years, Penguins home games have had more shots than their away games due to scorekeeper bias. This year, their home games have averaged 69.8 shots, while their road games have averaged 64.4. I will be taking a strong stance on both the success and failure of the Penguins tonight depending on the lineup.
TastefulTides: Single-entry and smaller-field GPPs are my preferred format. Today will be all about the Penguins. Do we play for them to succeed or do we play for them them to bust? Right now, I’m looking to get to at least 2 Penguins in cash games, but in GPPs, I think I will be fading them. I am going to look toward Vancouver and Nashville as my pivots from the chalkier Penguins.
Hunter4ever89: I am playing large-field MME and small-field, single-entry tournaments. We have a nice 7-game slate tonight with a lot of teams in favorable matchups. I will look to make some fairly balanced builds. I like the Penguins the most and will look to be overweight on them. PIT1 has looked great since they have loaded up their top line, and they all correlate on the top power-play unit. Their prices have yet to catch up to their recent production.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
