What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
TastefulTides: Single-entry and smaller-field GPPs are my preferred format. The Leafs are going to be popular, and I think they are good chalk. The Ducks are playing their 2nd game in two nights after getting absolutely shellacked in Ottawa last night. The Leafs’ top two lines and top power-play unit are stacks that I would make sure to get overweight on in all formats.
Joda: Large-field tournaments are my preferred format tonight. Toronto will be very popular, but there are a number of intriguing secondary stacks to pair with the Leafs. This Anaheim team has a poor penalty kill and bad coaching. They continue to spend the majority of games in their own zone. Unless Lukas Dostal stands on his head, Toronto should be productive. One game I have my eye on for secondary stacks or pieces is Philadelphia and Detroit. Detroit’s penalty kill is rock-bottom. I also think with how desperate Detroit is, their top line could be a difference-maker in the event they pull off the small upset.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
