What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
TastefulTides: Single-entry and smaller-field GPPs are my preferred format. We should see some ownership condense onto the Blue Jackets, but I don’t think any team or stack is going to become overwhelming chalk. I like the idea of getting to the main pieces of Columbus and then playing some contrarian high-end stacks or one-offs.
boggslite: Large-field tournaments – Similar to Tuesday, most of the elite names we are used to paying up for don’t immediately stand out in their respective matchups. Columbus figures to be massive chalk with a great matchup on home ice, and while I won’t completely fade them, I think there are some great pivots who have a better history of slate-breaking upside. New Jersey and Colorado are my favorite pivots if you are looking to get different in tournaments.
Joda: Single-entry tournaments are my preferred format. The Adam Fantilli value is tough to ignore, but a guy like Chandler Stephenson is only $100 cheaper than Fantilli and has flashed some 3-point upside multiple times this season. I have more faith in Joey Daccord than Elvis Merzlikins as a goaltender, so Seattle is an interesting pivot given the probable pOWN% discount.
