What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Moneyball16: Large-field GPPs – Florida has the highest projected goal total today despite Brad Marchand and, of course, Matthew Tkachuk and Aleksander Barkov being out of the lineup. All their forwards are priced too cheap, and they will be popular and strong plays. I will be playing lots of them; however, in lineups without any Panthers, I will heavily consider using the opposing goalie, Lukas Dostal, in net. He could put up a huge number tonight and provides good leverage against the popular Panthers. In the Panthers’ home arena, there has historically been a shot bias, with home games featuring more shots than normal, and as a team, they have had a low shooting percentage these last few years. Those factors mean a high shot total and potential big save totals for Dostal.
Joda: My preferred tournament format tonight is large-field GPPs. With all 32 teams in action, ownership is not too much of a concern for me. While the cheap options on the Panthers may get some attention, there are plenty of paths for differentiation given the slate size. I will be using more one-offs than usual, as it seems unlikely for the more traditional full-line stacks to get there. I plan to keep a tight core of players and rotate pieces alongside.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
