What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
TastefulTides: Single-entry and smaller-field GPPs are my preferred format. This massive slate will really spread out ownership. I am looking to get to plenty of the cheaper Blue Jackets while trying to get one of the top spend-up lines, such as Tampa Bay or Minnesota. For goalie, it looks like there are plenty of options in the mid-$7,000 range. I don’t think it’s necessary to spend on any goalie that is in the $8,000 range.
boggslite: I’m playing large-field tournaments. On a full 15-game slate, we don’t have to worry about ownership as much as we normally would. I’ll be leaning into the matchups for the mid-range value stacks rather than simply paying for the top talent, and I plan to get different by spending up on defense.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
