NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Friday, March 8

Who is your favorite contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

TastefulTides: Nikolaj Ehlers – The lion’s share of the ownership will be going to COL1 and DAL1. Unfortunately, Ehlers doesn’t get run on the top power-play unit, but I do like his price tag. He is the primary shooter on his line, so I think his shot floor is fairly safe. We have seen him flash a ceiling at times during the season. I think he makes for a great GPP one-off at what should be very low ownership on this small slate.

Joda: Patrick Kane – Detroit will likely see some ownership but not to the degree of Nathan MacKinnon with Dallas salary relief plays. Arizona continues to be a team to target against, as they have allowed the most goals per game (4.00) in the NHL this calendar year. They are allowing a power-play goal per game during this same period.

Who is your top overall play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
