NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Monday, December 18
Who is your top overall play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
Moneyball16: Nikolaj Ehlers – After a slow start to the season, Ehlers has heated up, with 11 points in his last 7 games. He is playing a much bigger role than typical being on both the top line and top power-play unit. His line with Scheifele and Vilardi has dominated play, albeit in a small sample. All three of them are too cheap, with power-play and even-strength correlation, at home versus a bad team that likes taking penalties.
ezellmt: Gabriel Vilardi – I like Ehlers too, but I don’t think his role is that much better than Vilardi’s, who is $4600 cheaper. He’s on a crazy stretch of six points in his last two games. He’s only played 16 minutes in those because they were up big early, but he could see a full complement of minutes tonight against a Ducks team notorious for taking too many penalties.
