NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Monday, November 6

Who is your top overall play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

Moneyball16: Carter Verhaeghe – Verhaeghe has been a bit disappointing this season, with only 6 points in 10 games, but some of that is due to an uncharacteristically low shooting %. The team is still playing great with him out there and, last season, he had 73 points in 81 games. Also, last game he was moved to the top power-play unit, where he did pick up an assist. During his time in Florida, he has had so many points despite relatively little power play time. Also, this is a great matchup at home vs CBJ.

ezellmt: Carter Verhaeghe – Verhaeghe hasn’t had a bad start to the season, with 6 points in 10 games, but much like the rest of his team, it appears that bad luck has been preventing him from even more. The Panthers have scored 26 goals but have an “expected goals” of 36 goals, meaning under normal circumstances (and goaltending), they’d have 10 more goals in their 10 games. The most snake-bitten player is Verhaeghe’s linemate, Matthew Tkachuk, who “leads the league” in the fewest goals above expected with 4 goals. Verhaeghe has now been elevated to the top power play, but his price doesn’t reflect that.

Who is your favorite contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
