NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Saturday, December 30
Who is your top overall play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
Moneyball16: Rickard Rakell – His price reflects his disappointing season, but since coming back from injury 4 games ago, he has been a strong play, with 4 points and 14 shots while playing big minutes on the top line and now on the top powerplay unit. He has a good matchup at home with a rest advantage against the Blues, and he correlates well with good pay-up options like Crosby and Guentzel.
TastefulTides: Matthew Tkachuk – The cheap price reflects the results this season but not the overall skill set of the player or this amazing matchup. If there is ever a time to break out of a big slump, it’s in this matchup. Montreal struggles immensely on the defensive end and doesn’t get any help from their below-average goaltending.
Joda: Matthew Tkachuk – With some of the higher-priced skaters in average matchups, my top option when factoring in price is Tkachuk. Montreal takes far too many penalties for their own good, and Tkachuk has been quite unlucky this season.
