NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Saturday, December 9

Who is your top overall play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

Moneyball16: Jeff Skinner – Everyone on the Sabres seems too cheap tonight, and out of those players, Skinner seems like the best value to me. He’s averaging 4.6 shots a game in his last 5 with almost 21 minutes a game. At home versus Montreal is a great matchup, and $6,000 is too cheap.

TastefulTides: Nathan MacKinnon – We keep going back to the well with MacKinnon, and it has paid off handsomely. Tonight is not any different. He gets to play at home, so he will get the matchups that are the most advantageous for him and his linemates. His shot floor is tremendous, and his ability to put up points in bunches is truly elite. If I can only spend on one stud tonight, it is MacKinnon in all formats.

Joda: Tage Thompson – His price is still at a significant discount from where it should be. He scored last time out in a tough matchup in Boston, and although Buffalo is not really a team to trust since they are inconsistent, Tage’s floor should be good here. Montreal gives up far too many golden chances when shorthanded.

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
