NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Saturday, March 2

Who is your top overall play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

Moneyball16: Jason Robertson – He hasn’t exactly been lighting it up lately, but he’s at home versus the sharks, who have easily allowed the most goals in the league this season, and Robertson has the track record and the price to easily pay off here. So many pieces of the Stars are too cheap, so it will be easy to build stacks around Robertson.

TastefulTides: Jason Robertson – The Stars are going to be incredibly chalky, but it will be very hard not to play them against the worst team in the NHL. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more mispriced line than the top line of Dallas today. The Stars are the only team on the slate that has an implied goal total over 4. Robertson has the highest shot floor on his line, but in reality, if you are playing Robertson, you should be playing the full line with him.

Joda: Jason Robertson – The prices on Dallas are egregious, and Robertson is the standout of the group. If they were priced up, it would be easy to say that they would need to hit their ceiling to hit value, but at the current salaries, Robertson and company are going to be staples in my lineups across all formats.

Who is your favorite contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (Epignosis)

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
