NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Saturday, November 11

Who is your top overall play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

Moneyball16: David Pastrnak – Montreal is a great matchup and definitely the best matchup of all the superstars on the slate, and Pasta has full even strength and powerplay correlation with his linemates, Zacha and Marchand.

TastefulTides: Nathan MacKinnon – All of the big names are on tonight’s big 11 game slate. The separating factor between MacKinnon and the other super stars is that he is playing at home and is not playing the second game in two nights. Not to mention he has one of the best shot floors in all of hockey. If I have to prioritize just one superstar on this slate, it’s going to be MacKinnon. The Blues lost in Colorado 4-1 two weeks ago, and it wouldn’t shock me if the Avs have an even better performance this evening.

Joda: David Pastrnak – There are so many elite options on this slate, but I will take Pastrnak over MacKinnon, as I expect Pasta to be lower owned. Montreal takes far too many penalties for their own good, and when they are on the penalty kill, chances against are abundant and high quality. Boston also gets McAvoy back from suspension.

Who is your favorite contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
