NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Saturday, November 4

Who is your top overall play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

Moneyball16: Matthew Tkachuk – His assist rate is normal, his shot rate is great, and the goals will eventually come. He has a lot of expected goals, and historically, his finishing has been good. Hopefully the lack of goals holds ownership back some despite a great matchup with Chicago.

TastefulTides: Auston Matthews – Night in and night out, he is the most consistent fantasy producer in hockey. He gets a home matchup against the Sabres, who were absolutely embarrassed in Philly last night. I don’t expect Buffalo to be able to stop this extremely talented Leafs squad. Matthews and his linemates should be in for a big night.

Joda: Auston Matthews – Buffalo looked pathetic last night, and one of their only competent defenders Samuelsson left the game early. Matthews likely gets there on shot volume alone, and if the Sabres’ struggles continue, we could see a ceiling performance from Matthews.

Who is your favorite contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (Epignosis)

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
